Enhances the iPad mini experience
Date:May 15, 2013
The on-screen keyboard works well on the iPad mini, especially since it's overall easier to hold and reach all the keys. But the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover makes the iPad mini my complete meeting companion. The full use of the screen for taking notes and running remote-control apps eliminates the need to tote around a bulky laptop. The magnetic strip holding the iPad mini in landscape mode is just strong enough that you can grab the combo by the iPad bezel if you're careful - most of the time the keyboard will fall off, so I don't recommend doing this. Also, since there's no magnet keeping the folded duo in a closed position, you need to be careful when carrying it that you don't allow the two to swing open. A velcro or elastic strip around the combo when closed would fix this issue. Finally, the keyboard layout definitely takes getting used to - the fact that the "Q" and "Tab", as well as a the "A" and "Caps Lock", share keys makes for some awkward typing at times. I also find myself hitting the home button a lot when I meant to hit the numeral 1. Since I've only owned it a short time, I'm sure I'll get used to it...but it makes for some awkward moments when you think you're taking notes and not looking at the screen, only to find you're back at your desktop and not in Notability.

Fantastic!

This is the best thing I have ever owned. I love it so much. The keyboard means I can type just as fast as I could with a computers keyboard. Thanks Logietech for making a fantastic product.
I actually returned my iPad mini as I found it impossible to type on. As soon as I found this, I purchased the keyboard and purchased a new iPad mini. If it was not for this I would not own an iPad mini. I now type more than sixty words per minute. The keys are responsive and a joy to use as well.

I want to love this keyboard, but I drop it from about three feet and two keys pop off. Unfortunatly the design is such that once they are off they can not go back on and the plastic tabs break. Also, they do not have replacement parts. Spend your money on a different product.

Excellent keyboard
Date:April 3, 2013
This keyboard is thin & is laid out very well considering its as small as the ipad mini. The build quality is great too. Protects the screen great and is definitely worth the money,,Wish it had backlit keys, but a great keyborad..

Ipad mini keyboard
Date:March 15, 2013
I tried the Zagg initially but strongly prefer this design. As a cover is works just fine and seems plenty durable riding around in my purse all day. Best of all the key placement was well thought out aad you can transfer from the standard QWERTY keyboard to this quite easily. Clearly it is smaller but for me the Zagg was impossible to get used to because the apostrophe was a function key and required looking down to make it work. I make mistakes on my Logitech but I can correct them with a little practice but without having to learn all new strokes. love it. As others have said, this keyboard has the added advantage of accomodating portrait view, not just landscape.

Has a couple of flaws
Date:March 13, 2013
I have thoroughly enjoyed using this. It allows me the flexibility and convenience of using just about anywhere.. I agree with others concerning the length of the charger cord. The other issue is the frame that holds the ipad is fragile. JUST BE CAREFUL! THE OUTER FRAME IS FLEXIBLE RUBBER BUT IT IS FLIMSY PLASTIC ON THE INSIDE.

Great Keyboard
Date:March 9, 2013
I LOVE this keyboard. my laptop recently died and my husband suggested to get an ipad mini instead. i looked at about 6 different keyboards and decided on this one and it is awesome. we travel a lot so the size is perfect in the car. its super thin but the keys are not squashed together. i have not had any issues with it. the only cons i have are not having the lightning cable for charging and that the cable is really short. overall definitly a five star keyboard i would highly recommend this to everyone.

Questionable recharging cord
Date:March 6, 2013
So far I like everything about this keyboard case except the cord that recharges it is a bit problematic. It's quite difficult to plug it into the keyboard. I'm hoping it will loosen up with time.

Almost Perfect
Date:February 20, 2013
This keyboard is a beautiful companion to what is already a beautiful device (iPad mini). It pairs with my iPad Mini almost instantly and works/feels great.
My main gripe with this keyboard has to do with how you charge it...Logitech includes some sort of a USB charging cable, however, WHY IS IT NOT A LIGHTNING CABLE?! Now when traveling to be safe I'll have to carry two cables instead of one. I'm amazed that with all the thought that Logitech put behind the design of the device itself that they'd drop the ball with the cable/connector. :(

Great keyboard for ipad mini
Date:February 15, 2013
First off, I'd like to say that I've been eagerly awaiting the release of the Ipad Mini keyboard from Logitech since I initially started using my Ipad Mini. However, as they didn't release one with the Mini, I tried many other keyboard cases from various other companies. I've returned all of those cases for one reason or another, leaving me with only one which has been pretty good. However, I still couldn't resist buying a Logitech Keyboard on the first day it was announced. Afterall, I had tried their keyboard case for my Ipad 2 and had loved it. Now, I'm typing with the Logitech keyboard case for the Ipad Mini, which I received today. And I must say I love it just as much as I did the one released for the Ipad2!!
The other products I had tried were all decent but for various reasons, did not provide the polished experience I've come to expect with Logitech products (I'm not only talking about the Ipad2 keyboard case but my experience with one of their solar powered wireless keyboards for my Mac). For example, while most other products I tried provided fine typing experiences, most were too bulky. Also, some just felt cheaply made, with flimsy parts or keys that just didn't feel natural when pressed or because they were too small or spaced too closely apart. Many of them also made awkward compromises such as having to use the Function key to use the apostrophe key, which was a bit inconvenient considering how much it's used. Finally, most of them could really only be used on a flat surface given the fact that the stands were "kick out" stands attached to the back of the cases, making it so that typing on other surfaces, such as one's lap or when lying down, was more difficult.
Now onto my experience with the Logitech keyboard, starting with the pros.
Pros: As advertised, aside from the non-letter keys, the keys are pretty much the SAME SIZE as a regular sized keyboard and nicely spaced apart, which makes a big difference. This just makes the typing experience much more natural and limits mistakes. Of course they keys themselves feel natural when pressed, just as they did with the larger sized Logitech keyboard. Also, as the magnetic strip on the keyboard holds the Ipad Mini securely in place in landscape mode, one can use the keyboard not only on flat surfaces, but also on one's lap and while lying down. Finally, the case and the Ipad Mini together only adds minimal bulk and weight, which is ideal compared to the other cases I had mentioned. (Keep in mind as well that while some other similar non-folio cases exist, their keys are smaller and in some cases, flush together as opposed to spaced apart)
Cons: Aside from shrinking the non-letter keys, another compromise made, was requiring the use of the function key to use Caps Lock and Tab, which to me, is still preferred over the use of Function for often used keys such as apostrophe which again is the case for the other cases I tried. The only other difference between this case and its bigger brothers, is that everything initially feels shifted a bit to the left as the "A" and "Q" keys also function as the "Caps Lock" and "Tab" keys but honestly, this took very little time to get used to and as of now, I'm not really noticing this difference. Finally, the keyboard case does not keep the Ipad Mini securely held in place when closed as there is not latching mechanism to do so.
Overall, I am very pleased with the Ipad Mini keboard. If it was not obvious above, I believe that the pros vastly outweigh the cons, which in my mind, were minimal. To summarize, this keyboard case provides a polished, natural typing experience, just as refined as that of it's bigger brothers, without adding unnecessary bulk and weight.
