Excellent value, great clarity, satisfying bass

They don't have the lush bass of a particular overpriced brand, but I've listened to that brand and they are definitely not worth the extra money.
I'm fairly sure that these need several hours of break-in listening to produce the bass they're capable of, as well, so don't write them off out of the box. I felt like I needed to boost the bass on my on-board equalizer at first, but then found it to be too much after a while and adjusted down. You'll probably want the tone knob all the way up to get good bass, regardless.
Overall, well worth the money.

Okay for the price but lacking in bass

Date:November 5, 2013
These speakers are okay for the price. I got them for my flat screen TV because the built in speakers are terrible. These work good for this purpose and it's a good upgrade from the internal tv speakers. I tried using them for music as well but I wouldn't get these for that purpose because the bass is lacking quite a bit. These do have tone control to increase the bass or decrease it but I have it all the way up and the bass is still lacking a bit for music. This has the standard 3.5mm cable input cable as well as an aux input on the front right speaker that can be used at the same time as the other input so you can leave two devices plugged in at once even though you may not be using both. It does have a headphone jack as well on the front. These are powered by an AC adapter. The volume control on the front turns it on and off. They look nice and modern next to my TV. Overall I would recommend these for using with a tv or maybe your computer, would not recommend for those looking for lots of bass for music.

Average sound quality vs low low price. worth it.

Date:October 22, 2013
The Good:
-Kinda cheap (although if you dish out $20 more you can get sound systems that actually sound good).
The Bad:
-Doesn't sound that great
-Bass is weak, but it's an improvement over some older Logitech systems with subwoofers (that says a lot as far as improvement is concerned, but still not enough).
Other Thoughts:
I bought these as my new work speakers as the Z130 recommended by random Amazon peeps just sounded too terrible.
The Z130 sounded better after a while so I'm placing my hopes on these speakers sounding better after a bit of burn-in as well.
As of now these sound pretty stiff and muffled, not delivering the warm/rich sound I was hoping for. The bass is a bit on the weak side I guess, but it wouldn't really make sense for my work stereo to be going "boomboom".
One funny thing I have to point out - these doesn't sound that far off from Bose Companion IIs that cost almost three times as much, but those doesn't sound so good anyway, so it really don't say much.
