Mac woes

First, I got mine refurb. There was no software (if, indeed, there is any) and the instructions just say plug them in. On my Mac laptop (school issue G4 ) nothing happened. I had to go to preferences, sound and choose them over the laptop speakers. Then bliss.
Great sound, nice crisp highs, rich sound for such tiny speakers. Volume is considerably louder (on top of MUCH clearer) than laptop speakers. Still, at 5v usb power, there isn't much danger of injuring your eardrums.
I've had louder mp3 speakers with wall wart power, but never as clear. Nice.

Nice little speakers

I've had my V10 speakers for about a year now, and I love them. Better than any other USB laptop speakers I've used. For their size, they put out some very nice sound, rivaling some speakers twice as large. Granted, with the small drivers, they are not going to be putting out bone-crushing bass, but the amount of bass they reproduce is surprising for their size, not to mention the clarity on the mid and upper end. For nearly any laptop on the market, these speakers are a huge step up from the internal speakers. Another great feature is the volume controls located on the right-side speaker. No need to mess with volume control within Windows. In fact, the volume control on the speakers controls the volume in MusicMatch if it is the program in front.

These are extremely high quality, easy to use, well built speakers. The construction is top notch and the controls are simple to use. No need for external power supply...USB powered. A vast improvement over built-in speakers. Great sounding speakers for a two speaker system. I would rate them against any!
