Excellent headset

Date:June 28, 2011
Great headset for gaming. I've been through about 3 (I break things a lot) and these are the only headset I will buy because of the price and quality.

Good Buy!

Date:May 5, 2011
Despite its low price and small frame, this headset delivers. I am a heavy computer gamer and the voice receive quality is excellent. Some cons are: long hours of continuous use may result in discomfort of the ears and loud music is easily heard by people nearby. Overall, for its price, this headset meets and exceeds my expectations.

Packaging misleading/ poorly labelled

Date:March 16, 2011
The product packaging (on the outside) says its Mac compatible, its not!
Macs do not have a mic-in they have a line-in and this product does not work with the line-in.
Its a waste of money for me :( and would not recommend to any Mac users

Amazingly Amazing!!

Date:February 27, 2011
this product is amazingly great, though i hope logitech would release a 3.5mm usb adapter for this headphone because it is a hassle to plug the 3.5mm to my laptop unlike the usb, it is easy to plug and play, but beside that everything is great with the clearchat style headphone, i just really wish logitech would release a adapter, just the adapter,

Excellent

Date:December 25, 2010
Rugged, plays/sounds great!
I use these for school, including German class.
I carry them in the front pouch of my backpack along with my Logitech C600 and both are working just as well as the first day I bought them.
For some reason I kept getting feedback and garbled or echoed sounds, and it was frustrating! I even went as high as $180 for a very nice headset and it was the same way!!! Then I talked to a guy at Radio Shack and he knew exactly what I was talking about. He suggested this pair and swore by them. He even gave me a guarantee that if I was not happy at any point I could return them.
With that guarantee, I just had to give them a try and I have been extremely happy ever since! I even called him to let him know how happy I was that I listened to him.

Not worth the money

Date:December 24, 2010
I've gone through three of these headsets in the last four months. Something always breaks on it. The speakers come loose... the inputs snap... the last pair I had, the mic popped right off the headset and wouldn't snap back on.
Logitech makes a lot of good stuff I use - I still have their 5.1 speaker system from 3 years ago - but I will not buy one of these headsets ever again.

Poor Quality - No sustainability

Date:October 20, 2010
I purchased this headset after searching through a number of models. After comparing different features, prices, and reviews of similar behind-the-head models from different companies I decided to give this one a try.
As I use my headsets for a variety of things, including daily communications, voice-over work, and gaming, I wanted something affordable but with generally good, quality results.
This headset produced decent to good voice quality (per others listening) and audio on my end was pleasant. That is, at least, up until the first month of use. I keep my headsets out on my desk, am gentle and careful about use, never tangle, tie, bend, or otherwise abuse cables or hardware in general.
This headset saw extremely little action beyond putting it on and setting it down on the desk beside me. Even with this little motion and activity, the audio was cutting out within the first month and by two months was unuseable.
I contacted the company I purchased from to get a replacement model. This model lasted the same life span with even less use. I have had it all of a couple months and it is already cutting out and becoming useless. The source of the problem is the cable itself, right at the volume/mute control along the cord. This is a serious defect and from what I've heard it is not uncommon. Regarding the wire controls, the mute mute is awkward and requires more attention than it should to use. Plus, it does NOT properly mute! Even with it switched on (muted), people can still hear, just a bit quieter.
On another note, the headset is generally comfortable once you have accomodated to it. It takes a bit of getting used to, as in my experience Logitec always runs a bit narrow or smaller in their fit than most other companies. This headset will cut into your ear if it does not sit properly and has done so at times for me, despite the same circumstances of wear.
I wish I could trade it in for another behind-the-head headset. I'm tired of it falling apart within a couple months! =/ It would also be nice if the unit came with a plug adapter for USB.

Date:July 28, 2010
the Logitech - ClearChat Style head set is good altogether its derabal last a long time if you take care of it and the sound is great. but if you mess up the jack by snaching out the pluges you will mess up yor headphones. like me i snached out the plug by mistake and my right headphone and mic stoped working unless i bent the plug a sertain way. but in geniral this is a great mic.

It doesn't work.

Date:May 31, 2010
The mic is picking up some form of static maybe the AC unit. Not really sure but you literally have to scream for the stupid thing to pick it up.
Quality of the headphones is good, but I didn't need good headphones I needed a mic.

I loved this headset for a long time.

Date:May 11, 2010
I have used this headset for a very long time, and I do like it. I have bought about three or four of these, and not because they were broken, but just because I felt that I needed a new one. I really like the long cord, since my headset cord has to travel over a desk and to the back of my computer. The only thing that isn't so swell about this headset is the comfort. After long long hours of talking (I talk about 16 hours at times) this headset can get really uncomfortable. The quality on the other hand is amazing. This headset is cheap, my friends can hear me no problem, the sound is good and I'd definitely recommend it to someone that's on a low budget. As I said before, the comfort isn't that great but I can deal with it.

Wonderful Fit

Date:March 25, 2010
For an over-the-ear style of headset this is a great buy. It rests perfectly on my ears, and the bar in back is far enough away from my head and hair that I don't even notice it. You don't need to have the mic/boom down if you don't want, so you can move it out of the way, and the noise filter works great (say me, a mother of two wild boys). The sound quality is great as well. Frankly, I'm surprised you can get a headset of this quality and feel for this low price.

Worst Purchase Ever

Date:March 13, 2010
Logitech should stick to making controllers. I bought the Chillstream controller and loved it. So I decided to go along with another of their products, a headset. I should've quit while I was ahead. The first night I had it, I talked to a friend on IM and he could barely hear me with his volume turned up to max. Apparently, if you don't talk straight into the little hole where the mic is, you can barely be heard. That would be ok except, THE MIC IS SO SHORT THAT IT DOESN'T EVEN COME CLOSE TO REACHING MY MOUTH!!! Two to three weeks after making this $30+ purchase, a bad connection in the volume control started causing the earphone sound to go in an out and it's getting worse daily. It's supposed to bend to where you want it. Problem is: once you let go, it snaps back into its original shape. I wish I could find one good thing about this product. Unfortunetly, I can't, it's a piece of junk and a waste of money. I give it one star all the way around only because I can't give it less.

Its quite alright.

Date:February 4, 2010
Just bought this today. Friend says my voice is clear as a whistle but what worries me is the mic. I feel like it may get too loose and just hangs down my chin and not hold its place. To afraid to explore on how to tighten the mic set. Still its an okay product. I don't or do recommend to anybody. Just..no clue. Good day.

Not comfortable at all and bad mic

Date:January 22, 2010
* These headsets are not comfortable at all. They hurt the top of your ears.
* The loop around the back doesn't sit in a convenient place, and often slides up or down.
* The mic is poor quality.
~ It pick ups the sound of typing (even super faint typing) and other background noise.
~ The voice quality through mic is also quite bad. It chops out often. I tried various gain settings on the mic, but that didn't help at all.
The ClearChat PRO is only ~$10 - $20 more and is a FANTASTIC product. After trading up, I am 100% satisfied. Spend the extra few bucks for the much better headset.

Don't Buy This

Date:January 2, 2010
I purchased one, the left earphone didn't work. I exchanged it for a second one. It's left earphone didn't work either. You have to wiggle the connection at the mute control to get any intermittent contact to allow complete stereo sound. I suspect it is the packaging which crimps the cord at that junction in a 180 degree angle. Avoid this product at all costs!
