I have been using Logitech products for over 12 years. Recently the 1.Webcam, 2.Headphones and 3.Gaming Control for my new Dell system running Vista Ultimate. I was not disappointed! I have to admit that I bought a Microsoft webcam first “YUCK” I returned it and got the Logitech. I set up the whole thing in less than an hour and was able to Video SKYPE my son in Israel. I was also able to setup the E-Mail feature and e-mail some videos to. All works flawlessly! Thanks Logitech.

I have been looking at webcams for about a year now and I started with a Microsoft. It was the worst webcam ever in my book. I then bought my logitech about a week ago and I absolutely LOVED it!
At first, i noticed the image was blurry and jumpy but it was easily fixed. The bleary-ness was adjusted using the small wheel on the side. you have to turn it UPWARDS. The jumpiness was because of face tracker. you just go to settings on the webcam menu and turn it OFF.
I am very impressed by the effects and logitechs effort to be constantly adding new ones to the site. Sound quality is great. It does cost quite a bit of money but trust me, It is well worth it. I trust logitech and this camera strengthened that trust.

For those who gave this bad ratings...
Out of the box, the camera seems to be jumpy and the image was horribly blurry. I was very disappointed in the quality at first.
But, upon further investigation, I noticed a focus adjustment on the side and I quickly had a crisp clear picture.
I also noticed that right after installing the software and updates, that the settings and options were not adjustable. I could not find a way of increasing the frame rate. Again frustrated I decided to restart the computer, just in case, and it actually fixed that problem too. (The program did not prompt a restart after install... ).
I then adjusted some settings and resolution and the jumpy video changed to much soother and larger video.
I felt much better with my purchase after this. I have always loved Logitech's products and I was beginning to worry with this one, but alas! I have yet to be dissappointed.

This webcam is way too overpriced for what it actually comes out to be. The picture quality and resolution is bad compared to ones of higher ratings. I would spend my money elsewhere, even if the camera costs more, it will be of higher quality.

poor picture on two distinctly different p\c's (single core-dual core) latest driver makes no difference. Seems to be a analog camera in a digital world. This one is G A R B A G E - blow your $$$ elsewhere

This cam is easy to use and works with skype. But picture quality is very bad. Unsharp picture, bad performance. For this price not recommendable

I wanted a good webcam so that my fiancee and I could see each other while I'm in Korea. So, I bought this camera, and I have to say that it was a great purchase. The price is a little high, but it is well worth it. I've never seen a webcam with such clarity for both video and audio. If you want a good webcam, this is the one you need to buy, no doubt.

We purchased the camera to use as a supplemental camera for our live broadcasts. The camera works first time, every time - as it sits right now it is running via a 50 foot USB extender 24/7.
Every product is designed to shoot for the average user. While the average user will be happy with this, don't plan on seeing the "960x720" recording video and think that you can webcam at that resolution. You can't - you're stuck at 320x240.

Purchased camera about 3 months and i noticed it would always free up while on Yahoo. Went to sight speed and MSN IM and havent had one problem. Everyone questions how do u make you camera so clear. great camera for it's price tag...

The camera is complicated. You have a very good image in the beggining but then the image gets darker. I dont recommend the camera,I will be returning it ASAP.

I used it with skype and windows messenger with Friends in UK and France. I could never get it to function properly and neitrher of my friends were able to see me. It did function effectively when I called very early one morning ( skype)to Australia about four years ago. I'm still trying to find out why it is so ineffective. I would have hoped for better. Any one know if modifications have been made to improve functionality?

The effects would never download for me. The quality isn't as good as they make it sound but it is pretty sharp. While video chatting people say that they can't hear me very good (and i'm not a quiet speaker) and they say that i freeze a lot and the picture is terrible. Good for pictures, not too great for video chatting. =]

I had several issues with it working in yahoo messenger but once was guided to the new software and drivers that is tucked away on the site it works great. They did have a really good support tech.

This product unfortunately does not work. It is highly unreliable, inconsistent and frustrating. Do not purchase. I have tried with several IM platforms, and none work consistently, or don't work at all! Very disappointed.

I bought this camera because my neighbors house across from me got broken into. The camera comes package with software that will record video when it detects motion. And it seperates each recording as an individual video. This makes it easy to trace back should something should really happen. It also puts a time stamp on the video. This is a lot better than recording continously. It takes less memory on the hard drive, and it can run longer before the videos have to be deleted. A real plus is that this camera does it in high definition. I would definitely recommend this camera. It is an affordable way of doing video surveillence, and protecting your property.
