I have about 5 mouse carcasses laying around my desk, the latest being a Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000 - don't buy it! This little Logitech mouse is the best ever. The fact that it is powered by 2 AAA batteries is a great advantage - there is no fear of running out of power (I have used mine for 6-8 months with no signs of diminishing charge) and if you have a couple of extra batteries lying around, you're good to go for probably over a year. I use this mouse for my laptop - I am just now looking to see if Logitech has a larger mouse with the same features to use with my desktop.

THE BEST LAPTOP MOUSE EVER MADE. Hands down, the performance this little device puts out, the design and ergonomics, the quality of the materials and build, the tiny receiver, the wheel, the features, all of it. Top notch. It's what I've come to expect of the lads from Logitech. Great job. I love it.

I have recommend this to friends and they love it as much as I do. The best part is the ability to reprogram the extra buttons to common functions and different functions for different programs. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've had 3 other wireless mice for my laptop before this one and none of them either had the extra buttons, the awesome battery life, or the durability of this mouse. BUY IT!!! I would pay double for it.

I love this mouse. I bought it for my MacBook Pro and I didn't know how awesome the size and new free-rolling scroll-wheel would be. It's not the most feature-rich mouse but it's got enough buttons to be very useful. I've owned quite a few Logitech, Kensington and Apple mice in my days and this mouse is by far my favorite. Very comfortable, very good build quality and unbelievably easy to use.
The tiny USB radio is a nice touch. I wish I didn't even need the dongle and it's probably my only gripe. Bluetooth must have a serious drawback since there are so few BT mice. If I can't have BT, having a really small USB radio good. It doesn't look like I have a USB stick stuck in my computer all the time.

All the features of this mouse are excellent. Except size - therefore ergonomics. The nano receiver and the scroll wheel are brilliant innovations. I wish they had a BIG ambidextrous mouse with the nano receiver. I work on a laptop all day, and my wrists hurt becouse of the mice.
Aren't there enough people who want BIG mice for their laptops? Make the designers hear our voice!

I figured this mouse would be convenient due to its size, but I didn't realize it would be as good as it has turned out. I've never had hyper-scrolling before, but I quickly learned that it is very helpful; sort of like how I used to feel when I had to revert to mice without wheels at all back in the day. The size and shape of the mouse are very handy, and the buttons are fairly well placed, I just wish there were a couple more. The nano receiver is excellent, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it stores inside the mouse itself, which was NOT mentioned on the packaging and I almost went with a different product because I was not aware of this feature. The laser precision is nice as well. Overall, this has been a great purchase and I would definitely recommend it.

I've been using the VX for almost a year now, both at home and on the job. It is by far, the best mouse I've ever come across.
Pros:

Well i can say sofar is this the best mice i bought in my life for my notebook.
I can recommend this one to everybody, its a real great product. specially the small usb receiver is a great winn to compare with all others who are on the market.

I have used wireless mice before but never one like this. This one has all the features that any person would want in a mouse and more. Yes a little pricey for a mouse but it is worth it.

Overall: I chose this mouse because it offered all the features I need, and I had never been disappointed by Logitech. The VX Nano did not disappoint me. Note that if you're running Windows Vista you'll want to upgrade the software (from Logitech's web site) to the latest version. The version that shipped with my mouse did not seem to support Flip 3D.
PROs: The Nano-receiver is a particularly valuable feature - it barely extends beyond the side of my laptop so I no longer have to worry about damaging it or my USB port by whacking it against something when I'm moving the laptop.
CONS: Only one. I use my laptop while seated on a couch with a soft, rounded (i.e. crowned) arm rest, which is where I position the mouse while using it. This mouse's laser is located on the left side of the base rather than in the center, so while I'm using it on the arm rest, because the surface of the arm rest is crowned, I must hold the mouse tilted slightly to the left in order for the laser to contact and "see" the surface. I found that the Logitech V450 Nano mouse has its laser located in the center, which allows me to use it on my couch's crowned arm rest comfortably. So, although it isn't as feature-rich as the VX Nano, I'm going to use the V450 instead.

this is a great mouse it does what its supposed to do and it feels like a quality product.
pros: lots of programmable buttons, small, tiny usb receiver, NICE SCROLL WHEEL (this is the main reason i bought it)
cons: the size is a little on the small side but really not that big of a deal.
and the 4 rating on ergonomics is because the mouse dose not fill my hand but thats ok

(Hey, sorry for the re-post but i mis-clicked my technical expertise :( oh well while i'm here is may as well add some stuff about myself and how it helped me...) I am a World of Warcraft (WoW for the newbies out there) player and have had problems with my other mouses not picking up slight movements, a problem no more as the fine-laser mouse is the most precise i have ever seen.

I got this mouse a week ago at most and it is THE BEST! It may be a bit early to be writing a review but I think that should prove how impressed I am by this mouse. I have relatively small hands and this mouse seems like it was specially made to fit them! I love the fact that the USB plugs into the mouse and that it can all be stored in a cool little case. My last mouse was a Logitech (simply because they are the best at making cool, compact computer devices) but unfortunately it got run over by a car by a fatal mistake -_- I do agree that the size of the USB connecter was sometimes a disadvantage with my old mouse, but now I always find the receiver because it can be stored in the mouse.

Made with the usual Logitech quality, but I just find the previous VX Revolution to be the better mouse. The nano receiver is nice...when I'm not hunting to find it. I've almost lost it several times. Ant it just doesn't feel right in my hands...it's the symmetrical design and possibly the weight difference from using 2 AAA batteries instead of a single AA. As a so called "power user" I also find I miss the extra buttons from the VX Revolution...I rely on custom button programming a lot in my work and gaming.

I have dropped this mouse off the table or desk over 100 times, It still works to this day no problems. Battery life is great. Buttons work great. Definitely worth the money. This is a great buy!

This mouse is THE best mouse I have ever purchased.
I have had it for over a year now and still no problems. I have had to replace the batteries once after about 10 months.
The receiver is small so if you forgot to take it out of your notebook, it's no big deal. It also stores right under the battery cover which is perfect for transporting it. When you insert the receiver into the mouse it automatically powers off which is great for batteries. The range cuts out at about 35 feet for me which is more than adequate for what I use it for.
The scroll wheel is ingenious. With a press on the wheel it goes from a clicker wheel to infinite scrolling. I love it. Scroll through pages of data in seconds.
The buttons are laid out perfect if you are right handed. Lefties beware, it's not made for you unless you are okay with your page flip buttons on the left side.
I have used this mouse on many different surfaces and colors and rarely did it have a problem tracking over it. The accuracy of the mouse is amazing. It detects the slightest movements making it ideal for mobile gaming.
To any who have larger hands, this mouse may not be for you. My hands are medium large and it is comfortable for me. People with small hands would probably be able to use this as a permanent desktop mouse replacement.
Overall this mouse has been great and I would recommend it for most people.

I've used this mouse for 3 months now, and I like it more every day. The micro gear scroll wheel is one of my favorite features. I spend many hours writing reports, and this scroll wheel makes navigating large documents a breeze. I'm still on my original batteries with plenty of juice to spare. I'm also buying a second VX Nano for a new laptop I'm acquiring.

MicroGear Scroll... ahhhhhh finally someone figured out the ultimate scroll wheel! Hands down the best laptop mouse I’ve ever owned. The three mice I use daily include this, my old faithful Cordless Optical Trackman (still the best trackball!) and my G7 Wireless Gaming mouse. This is my favourite of all three, can’t wait to see that scroll wheel find its way into other products.
