A very good wireless mouse for mac

I've been using this mouse for 2 weeks and is not experiencing any problem. It is a very good mouse but doesn't have a lot of features unlike the apple magic mouse. The left/right scrolling is not very useful because it is very slow and the speed cannot be adjusted. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a mouse for mac and it is very worth the price.

For starters, this is a great mouse for its price. You can easily get a generic wired laser mouse and it will work great, but we're talking wireless here, so:
1. Bluetooth connection saves your notebook/netbook's USB ports.
2. It doesn't have erratic cursor movement like a lot of wireless mice.
3. Based on the number of "99-button" mice you can get these days, feature's aren't exactly the V470's strengths.
4. Pinpointing is adequate for most occasions.
5. Rated battery life is great (even if it only comes close).
Basically, the V470 doesn't really shout from any angle, although it will get the job done and in style (sort of) with it's unusual surface texture and design.
Frankly, i bought mine because of the looks and the bluetooth connectivity.

Too Small!!

I've had this mouse for about a year an a half. It has worked fine for me the whole time, and I usually only experience connectivity problems when I let the mouse run out of batteries. Speaking of batteries, I think I've only replaced the batteries 4 or 5 times, and I'm quite a heavy user. The thing that really annoys me is that the mouse is so small!! It great for travelling, and it fits in my notebook bag and barely takes up any room. It would be good for people with small hands but for me it's way too small. Most of the bigger and more ergonomic mice all require dongles, and I'm still looking for a nice comfortable mouse that uses bluetooth. Logitech should make more bluetooth mice, and sell them with bluetooth dongles. This means that people with inbuilt bluetoooth don't have to use up a USB port.

I have one issue with this mouse... I replaced the batteries. The new battery (below the left mouse button) jammed the left button. I fixed it, and discovered this is a fault of the mouse's design.
Hope it works better with you.

I've been using this mouse for more than one year so I can tell this is a really good mouse. I have used this mouse with windows and linux, and both works fine. The only comments are the use of two AA batteries, making it a little heavy, and the duration of the battery I think could be better.
I have never used the lateral scroll, but the vertical one works very well

A good looking, ergonomic, 3 button scroll wheel with side scrolling bluetooth mouse.
I use this with Dell's Latitude 2100 with Ubuntu 9.04 Linux pre-installed, and it connects fast, reliable and performs very well, tracking good, and good over surfaces. Just put in the batteries, press connect, choose your mouse, that all to setup. Next time, just turn the mouse on, and in 3 secs its connected. No lag and no connection issues.
NB: I haven't tried this with Windows or Mac, therefore I haven't used the Logitech software.

I thought this mouse was great. Portable, no connection issues, worked perfectly in sync with my computer, even on games.
Then, for no reason, it started scrolling crazy. If I'm on anything where I can scroll, it starts going wild! So, now I can't use the mouse at all. Loved the mouse and wish I could get it to work. Won't be buying any more logitech products until I find out the problem though...

I use this mouse a lot when I'm away from home. I bought it shortly after buying my MacBook, over a year ago. I've been quite happy with the performance.
However, to be honest, when I'm at home, I use my trusty Logitech LX6. It has the same button configuration (my next home mouse will be an LX7, I do like the two navigation buttons), but a full size.
Honestly, the size difference in my bag would be only a slight inconvenience. If I could get a LX7 in Bluetooth and not have to carry another USB dongle (not to mention blocking a USB port), I'd do it.
This is the next best thing. I'd still like a good, full-sized Bluetooth mouse, though.

Worked right out of the box with my Mac. No need to install the software until you want more adjustments.
One complaint: Battery condition does not show up in the Mac System Preference for Keyboard and Mouse. To get battery condition you will have to install Logitech software.

I've owned this mouse for about 9 months and has worked perfectly but there are some drawbacks on this lovely mouse. First I have to say as a graphic designer I can't work and my wrist kills me after a couple of minutes. Then the little pads that has the mouse for smooth tracking hasn't worked for me either, with or withour mousepad. (although I removed these pads and the mouse is much smoother now). Thridly is a bit heavy at least for me... Other than that this mouse is excellent for your trips but not for professional use. For that I thanks Wacom for its tablets...

I wish I had gone with a non-bluetooth mouse. I tried using this for about 6 months now and really dislike the latency between when I move the mouse and when the movement is registered on the screen. I never knew about this issue before, some poeple may not realize the issue. If you are one that just wants a wireless mouse that works and is bluetooth then this is the best you will find. However if you ever plan on doing photo editing, playing games, clicking on anything that requires some precision.. then avoid bluetooth mice. From source on the web: "performance results indicate that WirelessUSB outperforms Bluetooth in terms of packet delivery ratio, latency, power consumption, and interference immunity"
..nuff said..

This mouse works perfectly all the time for me. Some people claim it doesn't reconnect, but I suspect they don't have it set up correctly. Install the software the way they say, and away you go! Works on awkward surfaces very well. The wheel feels good but could do with slightly more defined "clicks". The sideways scroll works a treat on Netbooks or screens with low res.
Pity the software has to run at startup to enable side-scrolling though.

Before using this mouse I've used Apple Mighty Mouse. However, Mighty Mouse was a complete disaster. Then I found this mouse. Now I'm using the white color version of this mouse with my Macbook and Mac mini. I am very happy and satisfied. Moreover, this product is extremely durable. My 18 months old son loves to play and throw this mouse while he is eating his meal. And it's still working... I highly recommend this product.

I bought to use with a Mac-Mini. I did not like the Apple Mouse at all. This works well for me. I don't have any connection problems. Just make sure when the battrey light is blinking you swap them out. I use rechargables in it. They may not last as long as regular ones, but I am not tossing them in the trash either.

It takes forever to get it connected . If I close the laptop, sign off or switch users I have to connect it again. When it is connected it works fine but getting it there is a real pain. Did not have this problem with regular wireless mouse. Not worth all of the problems with connectivity. It takes at least 7 or 8 tries for it to finally connect.

I have had this mouse for 6 months now. I have expeienced on three occasions lost my bluetooth connection to my mouse while using. and the software would not recconnect me. I had to reinstall the logitec software from thier website to get my mouse to work. That is very frustrating when you are in the middle of doing something. USB wireless are more stable and I had never lost connection to mhy mouse ever.

Great portable mouse that is easy to use and to connect (just need a bluetooth connection). At first I had some trouble getting it to connect automatically each time I switched the computer on, but after I few days I'd figured it out. Since it is a small mouse it's best not to use it 8 hours a day, 6 days a week when working with mouse intensive programs (e.g. photoshop) because it is too small in the hand and doesn't have the best ergonomic design. Besides that it's a perfect travel mouse! Pitty Logitech hasn't yet designed a larger bluetooth mouse that is more ergonomic.

I lke everything about the mouse but why not fash the blue LED from time to time to remind the user the mouse is still powered on?
When I tried to register it there was no V470 in the list.
