Great portable mouse that is easy to use and to connect (just need a bluetooth connection). At first I had some trouble getting it to connect automatically each time I switched the computer on, but after I few days I'd figured it out. Since it is a small mouse it's best not to use it 8 hours a day, 6 days a week when working with mouse intensive programs (e.g. photoshop) because it is too small in the hand and doesn't have the best ergonomic design. Besides that it's a perfect travel mouse! Pitty Logitech hasn't yet designed a larger bluetooth mouse that is more ergonomic.

I lke everything about the mouse but why not fash the blue LED from time to time to remind the user the mouse is still powered on?
When I tried to register it there was no V470 in the list.

Great battery life, tracks consistently, connects quickly to my Macbook. Small so portable - would be nice if a larger model were offered.

I bought one of these about a month ago and it worked fine until a couple days ago. Now every few minutes it loses its connection. Sometimes I can turn it off and on and reconnect.
It's a piece of junk that you shouldn't waste your money on.

This mouse is excellent, the only current Blue Tooth mouse I would recommend to anyone. I like the draw string bag it comes with, it's incredibly easy to setup on Mac, Windows and Linux, and the battery life is great. The only problem I've had with this is once or twice the battery cover has come off when I didn't intend for it to, but it wasn't while in use, but while setting up my laptop in less than great areas.
My problem with this mouse. It's the ONLY Bluetooth mouse, Logitech - the defacto biggest producer of mice ever - produces. It's sold as a "mobile" mouse, I've bought four of these things, one for each of my laptops, one for my desktop, and one for mom. The addition of an "application" button like they have on a few of their USB mice would be all they need to make this the undebatable best mouse for a Mac.
Some other color options than blue or white for $20 extra would be nice to.

Ive been through many wireless mice trying to find the best one. Bluetooth was preferred so I would not have to carry a special dongle. If a notebook didnt have bluetooth, any BT dongle would work.
The 470 exceeded my expectations.
It tracks flawlessly on any surface, even on a featureless plastic top, my jeans leg, carpet. I belive this is due to the NIR wavelength of the laser diode used.
Bluetooth connects and disconnects without a hitch. I use one PC with built in bluetooth and another with a generic micro dongle. The mouse switches back n forth between both by just hitting the connect button on the bottom.
Power consumption is awesome. I leave my mouse on on the time and avg life is 1 month on rechargeables with heavy mouse use. Why turn it off ? I can turn my PC off, turn if on the next day, move my mouse and Im connected in 2-3 seconds.

I have two of these mice which I bought to free up USB ports on my laptops. The ergonomics of the mouse are great, one of the most comfortable mice I have used. Weight is good, lighter than the V450. Tracking is excellent, better than any other mouse I have used on different surfaces.
Bad news is that Bluetooth is a disaster, I only have to put my laptop into sleep mode and I have trouble getting it to recognise the pairing when it wakes up. This occurs on several different computers with each of my V470s, so it is not a flaw in a single piece of hardware.
Another issue is the indication of battery strength, I can never figure out if my mouse needs new batteries, and combined with the bluetooth problems I always seem to be switching batteries just in case that is the cause of my connection difficulties.
I have now abandoned using my V470s and gone back to the trusty V450, not as nice to use but very reliable.

I've used this mouse for just over a year and it is, by far, the best mouse ever! I used the V500 for a long time and never had a bit of trouble with it, either. I wanted Bluetooth connectivity just for the ease of connection and the lack of another part (the USB adapter), and this device fills the bill perfectly. I've used it with XP, Vista, Linux, and even Windows 7 Beta, and it works seamlessly with all of them. It is a great product.

Owned this mouse for 15 months. Ran fine, with the occasional blip requiring re-boot. Three days ago, it just up and died. I thought it just needed new batteries since they had been in there since I bought it, but I put new ones in and couldn't get the device to light up to connect. Went out and bought a V450, which I hope will last longer.

The 470 bluetooth mouse works great... once it's connected.
When my laptop "wakes up" from suspend, the connection to the mouse is never reestablished automatically, so I have to use the Logitech connection utility which takes its sweet time to "discover" and finally connect. Sometimes doesn't even connect and I have to reboot.

Excellent device, well built and reliable. Have had it for almost one year. Only drawback is the low-battery warning light. It starts blinking when there is not enough power left to make the mouse work, so it is not an early warning alarm. Otherwise, AAAAA+
