PROS:
- I can use this on basically any material that is relatively flat. At the moment, I am on a recliner and I am using the armrest as the mousepad. It works fine.
- Accurate enough for gaming. This mouse is more accurate than a ball-based mouse, though. It's above the norm. Unless you are doing some super new, state of the art point and click first person shooter game, gaming mice are a waste.
- Cheap.
- Very comfortable scroll. It's easy to use, but not at the point where you scroll all over the place. The scroll is silent, but you can sorta feel a gentle vibration from the clicks.
- I have large hands, for a teenager anyways, and this is simple enough to use. It could be a tad wider and taller, but no big issue.
- Durable. It won't blow up if you drop it a few times(unlike some of these with like 70 buttons and motion control sensors and whatever junk they have on it). It's just plastic. Even if you manage to throw it into a pit of boiling lava, it's only 10 bucks.
CONS:
- I use a laptop. When I plug it in, it takes almost a minute for it to register. Another mouse I used with it took a few seconds.
- Not a ton of features, It's three button. But hey, it's cheap.
- When it is dark, you can see the LED light through creases on the mouse.
My backstory is, I was sick of a ball-based mouse I couldn't find anyways. I dug through a box full of old hardware, and found this. It came with an old keyboard, if I remember correctly. When I plugged it in, I was amazed of the overall quality of the cheap piece of plastic. It's almost the best mouse I own (we have 6 or 7 computers. 5 That are in active use.) Except for a logitech wireless mouse/keyboard combo. That mouse is accurate, shaped for right handed people, state of the art, etc :P
For a 10 buck piece of red light and plastic, I highly recommend this.
