Great webcam but not with windows 7, UNUSABLE. I did like the cam with Vista. Started to work with Windows 7 then Crashed the computer. Now I get a msg that the driver is not usable and will not load. $123.00 down the drain.

I needed a webcam to make web recordings in the relatively low light conditions of my office. The Orbit AF works very well in this application. I tried using my Sony video camera because of the added versatility of different shot angles, but the video camera did not even come close to the low light performance of the Orbit AF.
The extension bar puts the camera at the right height for most shots. The portable nature of the camera lets you put it right in front of you for the best eye contact with the camera or side shots. I have a lot more versatility in the kind of shots I can take with a portable web cam versus those that mount on monitor.
Audio: I have a separate mike and mixing board for audio, which is only slightly better than the audio I get using the built in mike in the Orbit. The Orbit AF audio is good enough to use with my Dragon dictating software.
Problems are more with the software than the camera. The follow-me feature works pretty well, but occasionally gets lost. I have had issues when using the Orbit with Skype mainly just getting the camera to turn on, but those are more Skype issues than Orbit issues.
What it doesn't have that I would like is mounting hole on the base for use with a small tripod. If I had to buy another web camera the Orbit AF would be at the top of my list.

With the Orbit/Sphere works great with XP or Vista but is a failure with Win7. As a professional Validation Engineer I expected more from their software lab. Even MS says there is issues with this software and Win7 yet Logitech put a product out there that doesn't work yet they tell you that you the CUSTOMER has the problem. I think it is time to move to another vendor.

Bad "follow me" and the camera won't respond to the software's commands to pan/tilt. Meaning integration is not what they claim it to be. For the $130 I spent I could have had more fun buying something else, and accomplished more I think.
