Hands down the best keyboard I've ever owned/used. I upgraded to the G15 after my Saitek Eclipse stopped working on me, and haven't regretted it since. I've had my G15 for almost 2 years and it's still working just as good as new. The macro software is very easy to use, the LCD screen is nice, the media keys work great, I can't find one thing to complain about!

Like one other post here I like to enter bios and boot different OS's on multiple HD's I was using version one of G15 with blue back lights but got so fed up with no response from keyboard in boot phase Im now using a standard keyboard, G15 good for gaming but not much use for me if I cant get into bios to tweak/change boot drives.

I've owned both a G15 and afterwards a G11. As an avid WoW player, the keyboard was great. Backlight was beautiful, macro keys were easy to set up and could be applied to a multitude of functions, LCD (on the G15) was great while it worked.
Now, it must be said that I can be partially responsible for my negative experience with the keyboard, but I just wanted to warn everyone else nonetheless.
I have played with my keyboard on my lap for years, whether its desktop or I'm playing from my couch. As a result of this, my USB cord attached to the computer gets moved about a little bit more than another average user. For both the G15 and G11, I had the same problems - the Rubber Connector that helps the wire pass between being outside and being inside the keyboard splits and erodes away rather rapidly (both cases within 6 months). After this occurs, the smaller wires inside the cable begin to split in half from being bent in the same place too much... the result is that the keyboard completely stops functioning. For both keyboards, I ended up having to perform "surgery" on them, by unscrewing everything , using the extra slack wire inside the keyboard and splicing it together before using duct tape to seal it up. Whenever I did this the keyboard would work fine again, but in the case of the G15, the flip up display stopped functioning completely (thus why I bought the G11 the 2nd time around). Eventually, if the same wire frays twice, there is insufficient excess wire to splice it, and the keyboard becomes unusable.
Essentially, my experience was that the G15 had a lifespan of 1.5 years, and the G11 had a lifespan of a little over 1 year (in the case of the G11, I was paying extra care to not let the wire move too much, but it didn't matter).
All of these issues could be effectively fixed if the rubber connector on the keyboard was more durable/better quality.
If you're like most gamers and your keyboard sits in one place, then buy this product and love it - its spectacular. If you're more moblie like me, keep praying Logitech eventually makes a wireless gaming keyboard.

This keyboard is awsome!!!!! Its comfortable, good looking, and very easy to install! At first i wished it was blue but actually in the dark the orange looks more mean than the blue. I love the lcd screen. i mainly either use it for fraps or the clock. i wich they made more apps for it though. All in all this keyboard ROCKS!!!!!!!!!1

Well the keyboard was amazing for a few weeks but then all of a sudden despite everything I tried the Key Profiler program would stop working making the keyboard pretty much a basic keyboard.
The LCD screen worked great but it would only display the main menu - Clock, Emails, Time, Date.
Im still trying to fix this issue... but other than that when the keyboard is infact working its marvelous.

I usually don't write reviews for the products that I buy, but I feel like I need to explain my experience with this Keyboard. The features of this keyboard are great. The lighting is fine on the highest setting, so I wouldn't be concerned with that. I mainly play games at night and I can promise you that you won't have a problem seeing the keys if you need to look down. Macro keys are nice, and the features of the monitor are great.
Heres's the kicker.. As someone already posted, the responsiveness of the keys are not up to par. I am an avid WoW player, and I also play many FPS games. A, S, and D are hugely important, and when you have to hit the key twice before it responds, you have an obvious dis-advantage. Sorry guy, Everything else is A+ in my book, but the whole reason for having a Keyboard is to be able to use the keys....Gotta touch up that aspect to appeal to the true Gaming crowd. Sorry for the Negative review. :(

some thing that has always annoyed me is that logitech make excellent gear except for their keyboards and headsets which i thought they would have resolved 5 years since my last logitech keyboard

I have owned the G15 for almost two years now and have never had a single problem with it. 18 total macro keys come in handy when you want to keep track of build orders for RTSs or if you want to open the internet and log on to your email with the tap of a key. The screen is extremely useful, but not so much for gaming purposes. For my games, it'll show what weapons i have equipped and how much ammo I have (Information that's already on the Monitor). My favorite aspect of the built in screen is that I can go through my music and select the songs I want to play without ever having to minimize a game. Being able to skip songs without ever having to look away from the battle is a great addition!

Everything about this keyboard is awesome. Since it has been around for a while, there are plenty of plugins for the LCD and the back lit keys, to add to the longevity of it.

I love the features of this keyboard, all of them except the backlit keys. Unless you're playing in the dark and the monitor is not reflecting off the keyboard you cannot see the keys. The backlit keys are not bright enough. I have to shine a light on my keyboard in order to see what I'm typing. Even now in the daylight I am straining to read the keys. There should be a white keyboard or at least white keys to replace the black ones,

I've been looking for a good keyboard for a long while. I've tried different brands and modles. Then after my last keyboard having some major issues with drivers and installation that tooks hours to download I had enough and finally went out and bought the G15.
The installations was flawless, the LCD was crazy! I love that is displays my CPU and Ram usage and AoC stat bars pop up once I'm logged into the game!
The keys are smooth and have a great feeling, along with the slight glow..not over powering and blinding.
WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG?!? And waste a tons of cash with other keyboards!

This keyboard is really awsome! I think this is the best gaming keyboard at this time (except G19 that is too expensive)!
The only annoying thing in this keyboard is the Orange light. it could be nicer if the user can change the light on the keyboard to other color, just like on the G9 mouse I have.

I love this keyboard....the only thing I have noticed is it makes games REALLY laggy.
During the game I have to unplug it, and re-plug it in to get the game to go normal speed, I dont know if im doing anything wrong. but It has been like this with Crysis, Combat arms, and WOW..

I've heard very good reviews on this board. So I bought it from Newegg. I really like it. I had a minor hitch when installing drivers and such but no problem. The only 2 big problems I've had is with programming the G keys and some issues with the LCD. Xfire took a few tries to get going and then RivaTuner doesnt work despite the fact that it has native compatibility. Then I got FRAPS to work which was pretty easy and iTunes works like a charm. No longer do I have to Alt+Tab out of my game to change the song. Xfire doesnt do a whole lot unless your playing a supported game. But whatever. I've tried and tried to program the G keys so it'll work in game to pull up Xfire but it never works which really gets me annoyed. But thats just minor I guess. I've used all the programming features too. It comes with alot of pre-programmed features like this news thing, a countdown timer/stopwatch kind of deal. And then a few others. All of them nice but some of them I'd personally never use. I havnt gotten around to using the USB slots and other things. But I must the Windows Key switch is helpful ingame. the keys do feel just a tad bit cheap but I over came that worry a half hour I got it working right. Overall, an awesome keyboard. And dont waste you money on the G19. Not unless you have the money just lying around waiting to get burned. This thing works great for less than half the price on Newegg.

This keyboard is amazing for playing games, or typing anything really. The backlight is useful for gaming at night, or at a LAN party. It is a very sturdy keyboard that I know I will have for a long time.

When i was first thinking about building my computer, i knew that a normal keyboard would not work. I just had to have something backlit. I spent hours pouring over reviews and videos. I finally decided to make the plunge and buy the quite pricey g15 keyboard. I am so happy I did. The keys feel absolutely wonderful and i love the screen. Its fantastic being able to controll iTunes from in game! the windows key disabler? Best thing EVER. I havent really found the time to program much to the keyboard, but when i get more games I will.
CONS-
The media buttons seem a little cheapish. I dont think they are going to break, but they are a little out of place. The screen gets these little scratches that are not noticable when gaming or actually usuing it, but you can really see them when carrying it. Its really hard to find things I dont like about this keyboard!

The screen- yes, most people might think "well, why would you ever need that"? It is one of the most handy little things ever. It tells me if i have an email during gaming, it tells me how hard my processor is working when i dont want to disturb it, it shows your song and how much time is left playing, its great! now the new one has a color screen with a seperate powercord. Thats stupid. If you need a little monitor so badly, then buy a second monitor, it would be more useful than that thing!

I just wanted to share how great this keyboard is. I run an Ubuntu desktop and it was truly a plug and play experience. Even the multimedia keys mapped properly. After the installation of the g15stats package, was easily able to get useful statistics on the LCD. Overall a wonderful product! I highly recommend this to other *nix users. Also love the built in USB hub, cuts down on wire clutter.
