I was and am happy to type on this remarkable light weight board, rather than maneuver the on screen keyboard. So when I could not find the PS3 home key, YAAARRRGG! Then I wrote this to contact us: Media Board Pro states it is designed for PS3; however, your product information neglects to state that there is NO, "NO!", PS3 key. No navigational PS3 home key limits the use of this board, it is functionally deficient, and it handicaps the user. You can replace the terms L3, R3, left controller and right controller, where 'PS3 is typed'.

Being able to type in words is obviously the raison d'etre of this peripheral. An added bonus is that, it also has controls for Blu-Ray and DVD playback at the top. I just wish that those controls were backlit. The PS3 has no honest to God A/V controller that is easy to use in the dark. Well, I'm not counting expensive Harmony remotes that require an extra piece of equipment to work with PS3.
Perhaps a USB charging cable would be another future option.
Oh, where's the PS3 'Home" button?

I really like this board, I do wish it felt of better quality, it feels very cheap, and the power switch does not feel like it would last a long time. While this board is targeted toward the PS3, I wish it also had the windows buttons on it, and a larger touchpad. The touchpad looks larger in pictures then it is.
Overall I give this board a B. I use it on my computer instead of my PS3 now, mostly because I don't need it often on the PS3. I wish I could have it paired to both somehow, but that is not really a shortcoming of Logitech, it is the nature of Bluetooth.

I use this board in my Work truck daily. I am a service Tech and sending long emails with the on screen keyboard of my HTC Magic is far to tasking.
The speed is great, the touch pad allow me to click to different parts of my documents with ease. full size keys are so wonderful
My only issue with the board is that the Surface scratches easy. and the construction feels kinda cheap (not like my home keyboard)
As long as i doesn't break, this keyboard it will continue to be a valuable asset to my day to day business

Bought this and a bluetooth receiver, thinking I could use the keyboard for both my laptop and my ps3. The keyboard worked flawlessly with my ps3, but I couldn't get the touchpad to work with my laptop, even after calling tech support. I returned it and got the illuminated keyboard, which I love, and a bluetooth mouse. I couldn't get the mouse to work, so I called microsofttech support, who helped me turn the mouse feature on in my operating software. I have come to the conclusion that most laptop's mouse feature needs to be activated, or any external mouse will not work.--I fully believe that this product would have worked as I expected it to if I were to configure my software properly, but I like the Illuminated keyboard so much I will not go back.

just tried the keyboard with my n810, started pairing and entered keycode 0000 and for good luck while it was pairing type 0000 and enter on the keyboard and it work, don't know if the last part does anything but it does connect, also when in Maemo Music Player Client the multimedia buttons works, all though little lag, you have to hold the play/pause button until the screen shows the function you want to do.
next and prev tracks work! i like the power switch on the keyboard makes i very easy to turn on and off, no flipping keyboard over

I took the risk of buying a PS3 keyboard to use it with my MacBook Pro connected to my 42" LCD TV. Works very well. No drivers needed (gladly since logitech doesn't provide any). Setup using Mac OS X's bluetooth preference control panel takes about 2 minutes, then it works right away. Note that you'll have to go in your keyboard control panel in preferences to reprogram a key or two. For example. I have the ALT key on the logitech keyboard as my COMMAND(Apple) key (both are near the space bars on a mac and on the keyboard). The trackpad is the very reason I bought this keyboard, it's good, although a little bit small, but works well (although speed of displacement cannot be changed). Using two fingers to scroll down doesn't work, however, there is a scrollbar on the pad, which is easy to use. Only downside is that the 2 keys left of ALT are right click and left click (for games), so these are basically useless. You basically get your CTRL key, ALT key and lose the COMMAND/APPLE/WINDOWS key -- that's why you have to reprogram ALT as your COMMAND key if you have a Mac or a PC (again very easy on a Mac, in Keyboard preferences). Get it on buy(dot)com for 55 bucks, great value.

I've owned this keyboard for almost 2 years and I find it only works well with my PS3 for Text Imput. I'm comparing it to using the wireless controller for hunting and selecting each key, one at a time using the PS3 controllers. Also, the touch pad is great as another reviewer mentioned that using the mouse on the couch is not ideal. This keyboard, although marketed as for the PS3, works far better with my laptops, Windows XP-SP3 and Vista Ultimate. Windows XP is much friendlier to this keyboard than Vista is I've noticed. All my pc's have built-in Blue Tooth so those of you without that feature, must NOTE you will need to purchase a USB Blue Tooth Dongle for it to work. What I DON'T like about this keyboard is how LOUD it is. It reminds me of typing class in high school using manual typewriters w/each amplified click. Also, this keyboard would be much better if they keys were back lit or illuminated. I'm not concerned with 3 year battery life which seems to be one of Logitech's big pushes. I purchase batteries on line in bulk per 100 pack for about $15 and they last about a year, which to me, is much LESS an inconvenience than having to pair this keyboard with Vista. I would recommend it, but there must be something better out there. If there is, I'd go with that instead until Logitech catches up on the technology and makes thiis keyboard more PS3 friendly.

Maybe this isn's any news, but I like te report it, just in case. I was looking for a keyboard like this, 'cause of the integrated touch-pad. This because I connected my PC to mij Plasma big-Screen, and using a mouse isn't al that easy when hanging back in mij sofa. I could't find al that much on the internet about it. So a store offert me to try it out, they could't garranty that it would work with Windows. But I've tried it with Windows XP prof. edition, and Windows 7, and it functioned right away. I didn't have to do anything special to make it work. A USB bluetooth connection is al you need. It works fine. Great purchase!

The first problem I found on this keyboard is that it doesn't include the PS button or any of the L or R buttons. witch are really help full when your are navigating on the XMB Internet browser. The other terrible part for men is that Logitech didn't think that many PS3 user run Linux on their consoles and they didn't make this keyboard compatible with Linux. I don't think is good enough to cover PS3 necessities. To bad I already buy it online all the way from Mexico... no chance for a change.

This keyboard rules! It's really ideal for why I looked into the idea of it and made the purchase. Yeah, it was a little on the 'pricy' side of a purchase, especially with having to buy the BlueTooth USB Reciever seperately. Since it's a standard BlueTooth product, it can be recognized by my PC running Windows XP. I gave it 3 stars in ergonomics because this keyboard makes you re-learn the 'six-pack' keys between the qwerty stuff and the number pad area. This keyboard uses (you might notice) an arrangement of 3x2 versus the standard 2x3 on the traditional keyboard. Having the touchpad right there for you though, makes it a do-able trade-off.
I have used this keyboard religiously for almost two years now and have visited the Logitech website here to request some warranty service, if possible. I spilled some coffee on the keyboard, a dose of coffee with sugar in it, so when I took apart the keyboard to clean it, I was happy that the inners were easy to work with and clean. The whole operation with off great until I went to turn it on after the hot tap water running over the keys and the thin rubber film (after detaching the touchpad) and after having cleaned the underside of the keyboard with rubbing alcohol so that the button-action was not comprimised by corrosion.

This is a great a great product. Connects quickly and is easy to setup. The PS3 is a great multimedia tool and has alot of usefull stuff other than gaming. Only disappointment is that is that it does not have the same buttons as the PS3 controller. That would complete this keyboard.

I love this keyboard, however it's missing a few buttons to make it completely replace a controller while you're using it:
PS3 Button
L1, L2, L3, R1, R2, R3
Start+Select (But most of the time, F3 and F4 will work for those)
I wish it had some way to replicate the functionality of the missing buttons, but otherwise, it's a great product overall.
