Had a Halloween Party that got a bit crazy. I was able to be the DJ and be dancing at the same time. Able to control to music and volume from the palm of my hand.
Great for when we are outside too. remote control works from a good distance away ( I was operating it from about 100ft from the stereo) Great to not have to go back in the house everytime I wanted to change a song or volume.
Once you get the hang of the controls it's pretty simple. It does take just a bit of fumbling at first.

The Squeezbox Duet is the best purchase I ever made! Being able to play my iTunes library as well as listen to hard to find radio stations all over the world makes it second to none!

I bought the Squeezebox Duet with Controller and 2 Squeezebox Boom devices. The only gripe I have is that if you switch network that it doesn't automatically pick up the saved settings (requiring a few button presses instead) and that you cannot adjust volume for all audio devices simultaneously and that you have to select each device and then change the volume. That is a real shame. Other than that, the sound quality is absolutely amazing and I love the way the device looks. The controller's battery runs empty awfully quickly too by the way. Near perfect I reckon. If only those other issues could be resolved.

Ihave an original Squeezebox and added the Duet. The controller is amazing, and the sound is better than the original.

I just bought this for a bbq this past weekend. I have been a Pandora user for a few months & that was part of my inspiration to add this to my home network/music system. We were jamming on the deck & able to quickly change to any artist or song. My friends were amazed it could do anything and everything. I know I have a few friends that will be getting theirs soon. So long to playing music over your computer - you cant change songs or adjust the volume without having to go back inside.

Update:
This device can also play Monkey's Audio "APE" files.
Please update the software from your controller.
It support m3u files right now. I hope it will support the cue files in the future.
Connected the receiver to my Onkyo A9555 amplifier and Paradigm speakers. Wow, the sound is unbelievably clean and clear.
Highly recommended.

I bought 2 of these from Circuit City during their closing sale and got a great deal on them. Hook up was real simple and easy. I was listening after about 10 mins. I installed the software which allows you to listen to internet radio and other music services, (ie. Pandora) along with your music stored locally on the computers in which the software was installed and I have had no problems with them. I use the controller as a "internet iPod" which allows me to hook it up to my spa via the 3.5mm headphone jack. Overall, this has been a great purchase and I would have probably made the purchase even at the retail price.
