Get a wheel!
I race my friends with it online and usually win. When I dont its usually because I just simply beat myself by pushing too hard or screw up drifting around corners.
I hate the feedback feature of any wheel so after the auto-calibration I simply unplug the cable supplying the force feedback motors. Now with no resistance on the wheel I can crank it as fast as I want.
I took it apart to see what I could do about the gear/servo noise (which really bothers my pals because they can hear it through my mic) but all I could do was grease up the gears which helped but the silence didnt last too long once the grease got squeezed out of the teeth.
The other issue I had was the brake was on just a bit. I knew something was wrong but couldnt figure it out. it wasnt until I changed a replay view by mistake and saw the brake lights on....I said whaaaaaaaat? To fix I simply took the peddle base apart and filed a bit of plastic off the first tooth to create 1 or 2 mm of play. You will figure it out if you have to do the same.
The 900 deg feature doesnt mean much because I have the sensitivity (GT5) set to 5 and I dont want to be whipping the wheel all over the place anyway. I use the flappy paddles on the wheel and can easily loose my position in a crash so Id be happy with 360 deg. If I have a beer in my hand or I am texting I will use the upshift paddle on the left of the wheel and down shift with the sequential shifter on the right. Its a beautiful thing!
I was considering picking up a g27 but I am so happy with this one I just cant find any reason to go out and drop $325 on a new one. If I break this one Ill consider it.
My pals can just live with the noise of my wheel. It just give them something to listen to while they stare at my tail lights!!!!

Great Steeringwheel

Date:January 21, 2012
I had the old driving Force for ps2 and it started acting funny...I bought this wheel and it's been great. It looks great, feels great, and just preforms great. I play gran turismo 5 with this and it just makes the game SOOO much fun campared to just using a controller. I also race need for speed with this steering wheel. Only downside is that I wished the shifter was more like the one on the g25. Only reason I didn't buy that one is because it just looked to boring and plain. This steering wheel is great, arrived quickly and worked out of the box. There is something loose inside rolling around? but it doesnt seem to be important so yeah. BUY THIS WHEEL..You will love it.

Best wheel on the market with one small addition

This wheel has more cool functions than many of the more expensive wheels. It only has one shortcoming when compared to the high end wheels and that is the paddle shifters or lack thereof. This is easily overcome- I have a set of aftermarket Granturgismo paddles shifters that's granturgismo with a"g" that work perfectly! I also have there carbon fiber kit added to the face of my wheel as well. With the Granturgismo padldes attached this wheel in my opinion is as good or better than wheels costing $500.

Logitech is still the best

Date:December 24, 2011
After using the logitech Formula Vibration Feedback for 5-6 years it finally got inaccurate so i got this one. I ordered it at a local store and i got it 2 days after, with no delay. I play racing games constantly since i got my first wheel (the logitech before), but not always on logutech wheels. I tried out different wheels, my friends bought non-logitech wheels, but they all broke down very quick. I paid this wheel around 200$ (in Croatia everything is more expensive) and so far i am veery satisfied. I play on the PC, and i have no issues with it at all. Extremely precise, force feedback also and i just loove the horn button in the middle. Only one not really a problem is that the gear knob moves in a very short line, it should have more space. Rubber feels great and looks amazing.
I reccomend this to everyone who doesn't want to buy a new wheel every 5-6 months, because everything from logitech lasts much more than others!!

Works As Advertised, You Get What You Pay For...

Date:November 17, 2011
The wheel works well, definitely recommend over standard controller or super cheapo wheels. The wires are cumbersome though, theres the USB cable, pedal cable that connects to a vga style port on the wheel base then a power cable. I would love to see a wireless option as you have to be within 6-8 ft. from your ps3 or pc.
I use it for GT5 on PS3 and NFS on PC in 3D. Again works well for game play, nothing spectacular but not over priced either. If your looking for a wheel that wont break the bank and will allow you to race with clutch and rumble feedback, you cant go wrong with this unit.

I like it

Date:November 4, 2011
this was my first wheel so I have nothing to compare it too. That being said I wanted the clutch and the H pattern shifter, but I can't afford a more expensive wheel. I play GT5 with this wheel constantly, and I know any less expensive wheel would be a let down, it drives nice FFB is incredible, peddles are kinda flimsy, and it has a habbit of trying to over correct when i drift. This wheel works every time, in every race. For the price, I'm really happy with it, it lost marks for the peddles, and the paddle shifters are just buttons behind the wheel, kinda hard to use

Pretty darn good.

Date:October 17, 2011
I finally got around to buying a wheel to play GT5 with. been playing GT since GT3. I've been using the standard PS controller all this time. it has taken allot of getting used to switching to the wheel. and I need to find a better way to mount it in such a way that I have a comfortable seating position. thinking of making a driver station with a sports car seat from a wreaked car. wheel is a little small in diameter compared to the steering wheel in my VW GTi - so it feels a little alien in my hands when driving. I figured the best way to get used to the wheel was to take the most difficult car to drive (Redbull x2010) and drive it on the most difficult course to drive well... (the Nurburgring 24h course) and run a 4 hour endurance race with it. after about 4 laps I was turning in low 6 minute times. after 8 laps I was logging consistent high 5s with a hot lap of 5:20.9... on the 'Ring, long course in an endurance race! I had only been able to manage a hot lap of 6:14.8 with the PS contoller! with low 7s being the norm. since the Nurburgring is so bumpy and twisted, and the Redbull x2010 is so twitchy and the suspension is so tight. it's tough to drive that car on that track - but the wheel and the precision of the pedals over the PS controller buttons makes that car allot more docile and controllable. (it's still a ROCKET though...) I'm pretty pleased.

Very durable

Date:September 7, 2011
If someone breaks this wheel, it seems to me that they really have to be trying to break it! I've had this wheel for 2 years and I've driven for 12 years of a racing career in GT4 and 5 with it. Bearings are slightly more noisy than when it was new but I have put this thing through the wringer and it still performs flawlessly. If someone expects a wheel to do certain things and then give it a bad review when it doesn't, that's not the wheel's fault that your expectations don't match it. Make your own wheel if that's what you want! Accept the wheel for what it is, a simulation controller. Not an actual car. If you want a true simulator, then your're going to have to pay the hundreds of thousands of dollars that it takes to get that. GREAT WHEEL!!

Great Wheel

Date:August 8, 2011
The wheel feels amazing around ever corner in every sim. Logitech has done a great job incorporating the wheel into big game titles such as F1 2010, Dirt 3 And GTR. I'm using the Driving force GT ON Computer and some of the functions are fantastic. The force feedback is EXTREMELY strong and will really fight you, and the robust Clamps Bite your table allowing for a really stable drive.
cons- So far from what iv'e seen the red dial doesn't work, on PC but everything can be programed. The software was had to find but once i got it it worked well. The pedals Arn't as strong as id like the to be, but get the job done :)

An Amazing Driving Experience

Date:June 28, 2011
I think this product is amazing. Although it's expensive, I think you should buy it. Not only is better than any other products in the market but also brings a lot of inovations within.
I know that a lot of people play racing games without driving wheels (like I once was) and I ensure you that no mather the price, it worhs to buy because it's not the same thing as playing with a joystick (obviously).

Very good wheel for the price

Date:June 13, 2011
I have had my GT wheel & pedals for app 4 years now, I am a hardcore gamer & simmer. Logitech makes very good quality products. My GT Force has lasted thru out the life of 2 fats & 1 slim ps3 systems, with most of these hours being race sims. I use my xbox 360 for RPG's, I would & will buy another GT Force if & when I need to. Thanks Logitech

Unbelievable fun

Date:June 7, 2011
Never had any steering wheel before but after I've read the reviews the expectations were high and I'm not dissapointed. Steering is accurate, ergonomics are brilliant (flappy paddles could have been bigger), some people moan about quality but I can't see anything wrong with that, pedals might look cheap but they're not and they do the job perfectly. Wheel is a bit loud but who cares? You won't be able to notice the flaws as soon as you'll get some practice andl pick up the pace again. Mounting to the table is simple and works pefrectly for me but I'm concidering buying a stand for it bacause girlfriend is moaning. Worth every penny !!

Great deal!

Date:May 26, 2011
I tested this wheel with quite a few PS3 games (Gran Turismo 5, F1 CE, F1 2010, NFS Shift and Ferrari Challenge) and I can say that this wheel is great if you don't want to (or, like me, simply cannot) spend extra bucks on a G25/G27. The price difference is definetly greater than the quality gap, and by spending a few minutes in the Options menu and Time Trial in each of the games above you can have a realistic (and surprisingly similar) experience in all of them. Force Feedback is quite precise and, except for some clanking noises that result from Force Feedback set to maximum (sometimes it's loud enough to make me think something has broken), it works perfect. The pedals are durable too... just don't try to stomp them and you'll have perfect pedals for a long time... Paddle shifting is more of Button shifting... it's precise but feels fragile, especially in gearshift-intensive games like F1. The steering wheel itself is very nice and the buttons kinda follow the PS controller layout. For F1, it may feel thin but this is not a biggie. All in all, this is a great deal!

Good wheel

Date:May 11, 2011
I have to say this is a pretty sweet wheel. And the wheel works awesome. If you currently use a Dual shock controller, you will probably have a harder time getting used to the wheel. I have had my wheel for quite a while and have had no problems the other people speek of. Some people say the pedals are cheap. They are. But not so cheap that they break when you step on them. You can be pretty percise with the pedals, but they are plastic. With this wheel you get so much more control over every aspect of the car. If you are a serious racing sim player that cant afford a g27 then get this. Also the dials are a bit hard to reach while you are driving. But it is quite convinient to be able to change some settings while driving. Drifting is quite difficult with the wheel but I have seen others do it, and I do think that it is possible to get used to it.

Do not buy, won't last more than 6 hours of use

Date:April 24, 2011
I bought this wheel back in around June last year, and haven't played with it much because I'm a drifter on GT5 and it's hard has heck to drift with this thing because it just doesn't move fast enough, but I do use it quite a bit for racing without going sideways. Every once in a while I'll decide that I wanna learn to drift with the wheel and the only way to do it is to basically help the force feedback with a bit of speed so you have to countersteer very quickly, much faster than the force feed back will do. I have already gotten a replacement from the first wheel that I had and I had no idea why that one broke but when it did, the force feedback seemed to be stuck on, then it wouldn't calibrate or do anything so I sent in for a replacement. I got the new wheel and it broke within 3 weeks. Same situation force feedback stuck on. Probably has something to do with my drifting, but if the wheel can't handle what a car actually does in real life, the wheel is a toy and breaks easily. I'm now getting a 3rd wheel and after it breaks, which it will, I probably won't be buying another wheel of any kind for a while, then when I am able to save enough money for the G27, I may get it and I may not. Logitech makes some quality products but this one just wasn't what I thought it would be. I apreciate the patience they have had with me and the customer support is very good, the products are of the highest quality but everything has a flaw.
