I bought these speakers and was very pleased until about a month later when the left speaker started going in and out until it went out for good then the right did the same. Terrible speakers.

I can't hear the bass, and the satelites have a poor medium frequency playback. There is a lot of distortion too.

Good Sound,Bass needs work

Bought these to go with my laptop. Good volume but as others have said the sub-woofer needs a bit more power. All in all it was a great purchase and I don't have any regrets.

Awful speakers...

Bought these for $30 at fry's about two months ago and wish i hadn't. These have got to be the worst pair of computer speakers i've ever owned. I bought a 2.0 system at best buy for $15 a few years ago that sounds better than these. They sound so tinny and the subwoofer has just about no output. Save your money and buy something better...

I have very very picky ears, these sound amazing for the cost, not hard on the ears but not the best I have heard either, plan on upgrading later but these will do for now.

Pretty bad all in all because you cant play it consistently, like at some points one speaker will play properly while the other plays half of what it should be playing, then for most of the volume meter it distorts making it unclear to listen to also the bass doesnt really have a lot of kick, but what do you expect you get what you pay for...

The best product ever! the quality is amazing. the bass control let the user adjust the bass to the best possible level.
the price says it all, very low price and it sounds like an expensive system. I'm happy with this product is the best.

I Bought this thing about a year ago and until now it performs really well! The sound is good even if I put it to the maximum volume, It was freaking awesome! if you want to buy a speaker this is a good product to begin with

So i was walking around CompUsa looking for a new system for my laptop. As i come around the speaker section i came across two systems. The Altec Lansing Bass Expressionist ($60) and this system ($25).
i decided to buy this system because it happened to be cheaper. But id expect it to not be soo great since its cheap but i was so wrong. When i was done setting these up i thought i tried a little movie trailer to test these. The highs and mids that the satellites produce were intense and the Bass from the little sub was pretty good.
But coming from a small subwoofer you can expect it to "bottom out" when you set it for its maximum bass level and the volume on high.
However for this price. and with the Brand "Logitech" i can totally tell you that its worth it.

The satellites are pretty good. clear and hits highs and mids pretty decently
The subwoofer, though lacking, aren't that terrible. It's just lacking that extra 'oomph'
I bought this and the S-220 together, and I recommend getting that over this style. It's even a few bucks cheaper!!!
The S-220 has stronger satellites and sub (more wattage), and the quality is much better with thicker wires and better controller

Pretty amazing for $30

I've been using these for a while now, they are pretty good. I'm a musician and these defiantly saved me money since I'm just a junior in high school. I mainly compose hip-hop (east-coast & underground), jazz (all types), and classical (all types) music.
Pros:
-The highs are very crisp.
-Bass is very good. It delivers a very firm and tight kick which is perfect for hip-hop and electronic music. It also handles lower frequencies pretty well (around 20, bass tends to be in the 40-60s so it's audible).
-The little controller's headphone jack comes in handy when I'm working at night and don't want to wake anyone up.
-The highs are very crisp.
-Bass is very good. It delivers a very firm and tight kick which is perfect for hip-hop and electronic music. It also handles lower frequencies pretty well (around 20, bass tends to be in the 40-60s so it's audible).

Cons:
-Yes, the bass distorts when you crank it up to much, which you shouldn't be doing if you're just using them for music and videos. My computer volume is at half and the speakers are on full, I can hear my music, and the bass of course, outside of my house, loud enough in my opinion.
-The highs distort as well if the tweeters are being pushed too much or if the frequency goes above and beyond the call of duty.

Good speakers in any case, just remember, THESE ARE NOT STUDIO SPEAKERS. They are made for casual use, so don't expect them to be perfect, especially since they are going for $30. If you're looking for professional speakers, go for the high end stuff on this site, or look elsewhere.

I first purchased these and thought they were the best speakers ever. However, after only a few weeks, i realized how lacking the bass was. You can't even hear it. Its been 4 months with them, and they are beginning to distort. The sound wavers in and out and sometimes only plays out of 1 speaker. I would recommend spending some more money on more reliable, better sounding speakers.

good mids and highs but non existent bass

These speakers for the money are excellent, a few of the comments saying the base is rubbish is far off the mark, remember these are desk top pc speakers not hifi speakers and if you want that kind of sound get a top end hifi. The base is great and has a nice kick to it whilst the drivers are crystal clear. If your looking for a entry level speaker system for you pc these are just the job you wont be disappointed

The first thing I listened to on this was the trailer of Inception, and it was the nicest surprise! Mind Blowing performance for such a reasonably priced product! The bass is excellent for general purpose, including watching movies.

I like this item it was under $30 and performs like professional grade equipment.
also pretty nice aesthetics very modern but pretty neutral.

i usually love ever thing of logitech i have bought but Dont waste your money i had one set for a month and a speaker went out so i returned it and got a second set and did the same thing and the sound quality was ever more poor so dont waste ur time or money
