I've had the blue LS11's for three years now and never had a problem. I do a lot of gaming and music and keep them turned up high. Always have a nice crisp sound compared to any other brand at the same price i would recommend these to anyone! Now only if they had a rechargeable battery pack.....

LS 11 Speakers
These speakers are probably the best small set of speakers at this price range I have ever purchased. Great bass sound, great volume, and I love the functionality of being able to plug another input into the front.
I think I would like them a lot more if they were not completely constructed of plastic. Aluminum would have been nice around the outside instead of the silver-colored plastic, but more expensive I suppose.

Had these for just 4 weeks, all good at first then they started to distort at low volumes. Took them back and had the same problem. Went back again ad the staff told me they had so many returns on these. I did s deal and got my money back. DON NOT BUY THESE.

I bought these to use on a tv in an eighteen wheeler. I never had a problem for two years, and they were attached to the sleeper wall, and bounced around a lot. I've used them on my computer for one and a half years now, and they are still working fine. I've got my money's worth out of them.

Logitech LS11 beside my monitor and a wine bottle :)
I got a pair of blue LS11 for around 16€ as I needed small speakers for my desk to listen to music while working. They turned out to be better than various no-name cans in the same price range. I hooked them up to my SoundBlaster Audigy and the sound is perfect. When I say perfect, I mean for the price. There is some bass, that becomes audible at 70Hz and really noticeable around 100Hz. I can't predict how long they will work, but judging by the other Logitech equipment that I have (a webcam and a keyboard) I hope that they will last at least a year. Headphone jack is a plus. Compared to laptop speakers they're excellent.

They lasted 3 months.Tinny and distorted sound. Just don't buy them. I took mine back for a refund and traded them in on Logitech Z130. Good sound and appearance. Even when volume is increased to say 80% there is no distortion.

I was concerned about the quality of these speakers before purchasing, due to the numerous bad ratings. They worked very well for 3 to 4 months, but now will not go past 30% volume without distortion and serious garbling sound. Overall, don't buy them.

I have purchased two of these and both have failed in a very short time frame. I liked the price and that it had a headphone jack in front. But after about 1 month they stopped working. So I returned the speakers to the store and got a new set. The new set lasted about 2 months and failed the same way. LOTS of distoration and crackling. They are so bad you can't even understand what is being said. DON"T BUY! The strange thing is that the headphones pluggged into the front jack worked just fine.

Had these for under a year, but about six months in they begin to have an issue exceeding 50% of their volume dial, with the sound becoming guttural and static filled. Before the six month mark, they were awesome, functioning quite well as exterior speakers for my HP Pavilion notebook. I am surprised these are even being built. Logitech usually has some of the nest hardware on the market. The mouse I currently use is the best mouse I've ever purchased, and its the same brand as the speakers. Something needs to happen in order to fix the issue with this model, as they are great for taking up little space. However, the cords do tend to get in the way.

I can turn the speakers about halfway without distortion. Anything past that is unbearable. It's as if they designed these speaker's to not work. Why sell them if they can't handle the job? Save your money or better yet go buy some speaker's that cost a little bit more and maybe you will get better quality.

These speakers worked just fine for about 5 months. Especially for gaming. But out of nowhere, they just starting making a horrid cracking sound if the volume is anywhere near 30%. It's making my wonderful music sound like a garbage disposal. Very, very disappointing. A waste of $20. And I never turn the volume to high levels, so I don't know why it happened. At least I know I'm not the only one with this problem.

I purchased these Speakers for my Office PC for Media/Web Learning and Music as well. NEVER once Maxed out Volume on these speakers (being in a quiet office setting). Just out of the blue these speakers started Clipping and Distorting terribly. Can't really raise them past 20% without a terrible tearing distortion sound. Only lasted about 3 months. I would NOT Recommend these speakers for ANYTHING...Sorry Logitech...what were you thinking when you all Made these WEAK Speakers?!

I wish I had read these reviews BEFORE I spent my money! I just plugged my speakers in for the first time and both the sound quality and volume are AWFUL! I purchased them to enhance the low volume on my computer - the volume on the speakers is no better and the sound is distorted and crackly even at low volume. I do NOT recommend this product and feel my money was totally wasted!

I haven't had these speakers a week and the left one has already started buzzing. After reading these other reviews, I am pretty certain they'll only get worse and probably be garbage before the month ends.
I expected far better from a company like logitech

Very similar experience to everyone else here. They worked wonderfully for a few months. I even brought them back and forth to work. I figured I read a few bad reviews and the problem had been fixed, but apparently not. Seemingly overnight, they basically died. Anything above an audible volume is crackly and unpleasant to listen to. Audiophiles beware, but I don't think you have to be one to be disappointed in this product.

I bought the LS11, great sound at first. I always have the volume on low and not pushing them and don't use them every day, just sometimes. But after a few months the light started flickering and going dull and the sound was just a fuzzy inaudible vibrating noise. I exchanged them but the same thing happened again. I can't be bothered returning them a second time so will probably just chuck them in the bin.

I purchased these at Target in March 2011. I do a lot of mobile audio production, so I need a small set of active speakers that I could carry around with me, but they needed to be of moderate quality. I have had good luck with logitech products in the past, so I figured these would fit the bill. They worked wonderfully for ~1 month, and now I cannot turn them up past 50% of the full volume without them distorting/clipping. At 50% the green LED starts to fade in and out, and by about 65% the audio is complete unrecognizable. I'm terribly disappointed with these speakers, and I would return them promptly if I was still able too. DO NOT BUY.

These speakers have what appears to be, a reliably short lifetime, lasting only several months before the sound quality degrades to a point where the speakers are rendered practically useless.
They're most certainly NOT worth much more than $5-6 as they last for such a short amount of time.
