For rich people

Date:May 17, 2010
This is the easiest system I have every used, works great. But unfortunately the cameras are only good for one year. I have purchased so many cameras to replace the ones that go out, I should own part of the company by know. Unfortunately the cameras stop working a few days after the warranty runs out. The system and the idea is probably the best, but the cameras don’t last. So if you have money to give away, this is the system for you.

GREAT system...but they don't last

Date:April 4, 2010
Setting up this system is a breeze... and it works great. But the lifespan for the cameras is one year. Period. I bought 3 and put 2 up immediately, planning to add the third after running power to its location. Never got around to it. Camera 1 died 2 weeks before the year warranty went out. They replaced it. Camera 2 died 6 weeks later. The "replacement" died yesterday (5 days short of a year since they shipped it). I put the original 3rd up this morning. This system works so well and is so easy.
BUT the cameras are not worth a darn after a year. And at $230 apiece, not worth replacing. If they lasted 3 years I would keep using WiLife. But who can afford replacing these things this often? Not me...
Unless you have lots of money to keep throwing at this thing, don't give in. It's great but the lifespan is too short.

Outdoor Cameras Dissapointing

Date:March 27, 2010
Used these cameras in western Canada, never had an outdoor unit last more than 6 months, carefully installed under eaves away from direct weather. Cold weather kills them for sure. Should not be offered for sale in -20C or worse climates. Indoor units trouble free.
Outdoor units have definite design problems for severe service conditions.

Short lifespan

Date:August 28, 2009
Easy to install and decent image quality. My two outdoor cameras died 12 months and 15 months after being installed. They were in a covered area and not directly exposed to rain. Kind of expensive for something that needs to be replaced every year. Positioning mechanism is a little fussy and corrodes in salty air near the ocean.

Outdoor Cameras will not last in heat

Date:August 7, 2009
I bought and installed two of the outdoor cameras in April 2009. By the end of July 2009 both of the cameras died, even though they were placed under the eave of my house (in Phoenix, AZ). I assume the heat got to them.
I have spoken with others that have experienced the same problems.
The indoor cameras work great!

2 outdoor cameras kaput <2 years after purchase

Date:July 27, 2009
I was a satisfied Wilife customer until recently, when both of my outdoor cameras went bad, one 3 weeks after the other. I've been told that rough weather (rain, heat) in New Jersey is to blame, but a normal Mid-Atlantic summer climate should not kill these devices.
These things are fragile at best. I now need to spend $400+ to replace them, less than 20 months after they were purchased.

Good All Around

Date:July 9, 2009
I am impressed. The system was a breeze to set up and I too wish it had at least the zoom feature built right in. Can't go wrong for the price.

Very good security solution

Date:March 19, 2009
I currently have3 outdoor cameras in my system. The ease of installation is by far the best on the market. Just plug in the camera and plug in the receiving unit into your electric wiring then connect the receiver to your computer via the furnished USB cable and install the software and your done.
I love my system but feel that the additional charge for the capability of zoom and tilt is excessive. I feel that the cost of the cameras should include these features.
Images I have recorded proved invaluable in demonstrating to the sheriff an attempt to destroy items of my property.
