Awesome !! Extremely kid-proof !!

I bought 2 of these for my twins to use with their DS. It's been a life saver - many drops (almost daily) and no problems with the DS or the games falling loose. I helped them put pictures of their favorite items - only nit would be to have different color padding (or have it available to order afterward). But don't wait - if you have kids who forget and drop things constantly, this will let you sleep at night and not worry at all. BTW, this is our 2nd case - I bought them the a licensed zippered cases when I originally got the DS: kids would take it out of the case to play and DS got dropped once - only once before I bought these. Never looked back.

I agree with the one reviewer who commented how sturdy this case was in that it might "in fact" be able to survive a car running over it.
The game storage was a good idea; surely one wouldn't expect to carry their complete collection with them everywhere; even though I imagine Logitech could've come up with a better solution to more capacity had they thought about it. For me, with a game in the unit, I find carrying 5 is more then enough for where I go. Granted, if I were going on a long trip somewhere then I could see carting all that I have around with me.
I only gave this 4 stars cause I have trouble opening the unit's top when I wanna play (good thing I don't chew my nails), and secondly, it seems Logitech could've taken into account all the different colors the DSL comes in, and offered different colored padding for matching rather then the default white (not a guy color...hehheh). I guess the template thing was the solution to that.
Good job just the same Logitech, I can live with white...

who plays a handheld gaming system on a table?

i LOVE this case! i carry my ds to work with me and pretty much everywhere i go and it was starting to get scratched up so i bought this case because it takes up less room than my bulky black zipper case. the ONLY thing I MIGHT change about it is the play in case design. i'd almost rather it be a hard case that i have to take the ds out of to play. the lid doesn't fall backwards on its own (at least mine doesn't). its an amazing purchase and i can't wait to customize it. i only wish there was a downloadable photoshop template.

I don't think this was really worth the money.

I saw this in a store, and I really needed a new protective case for my DS Lite, so I looked at the features, and it seemed alright, so I bought it. I really regret that now.
Pros:
+ It is customizable
+ The case is protective against scratches
+ There are slots for the games
+ It looks alright
Cons:
- When trying to play the DS on a table, or just putting a DS in it and putting the case in that position, the lid falls in horizontal position, and because of that, it is impossible to play the DS on a desk or a table.
The reason for that is those white pieces of soft plastic that will not keep the pieces of the case on place. Why are those there afterall?

- Using Action Replay or such device is really hard with this case.
- The case is made from a really soft material that really doesn't stay on place, so opening the case is sometimes really hard.
- There are only four slots for the games
- It had too much packaging material
I do not recommend this to anybody. I think it is too expensive for such a low quality product. It will break in normal use. I wish I could get my money back, but I bought it from Italy, so I cannot. I am really disappointed of this product. And I wasted my time writing this review.

The case is extremely sturdy. Honestly, I would not be surprised if your DS would survive being run over or hit with a hammer with this case protecting it. Stop messing around with those weak cloth and leather cases. The case snaps shut so it won't come open if you don't want it too. Also on the bonus, when you open the case entirely, it can be used as a stand which has it's benefits for those able to use that ;-)

Best DS Lite case EVER!

This playgear case for the DS is just as good as the PSP playgear case everyone has been raving about. This case is a MUST BUY FOR YOUR DS LITE!! It will not fit a DSI though (as the DSI is slightly longer).
