Amazing mouse

Date:August 6, 2009
I upgraded to this mouse from a MX500 and I'm completely blown away. The mouse moves so smoothly across my mousepad or desk, the adjustable DPI is downright awesome for FPS games and the customizable LED's are a fun little touch. I wish it felt more like the G5 that I was also looking at, as it had the same grip as the MX500. It feels a bit short. If you like to have your entire palm on the mouse and have normal sized hands this may be a bit strange feeling. The price made me cringe but I was feeling like spoiling myself and you definately do with this mouse.

Best Mouse Ever!

Date:July 21, 2009
When I first got this mouse running I was shocked about how I could change everything about it to make it they mouse that would sute me best. The weight changing is my favorite part about it. I play rpg games and this is just great for it. If you have ever played a rpg before you would know that Keybindings are a must (at least for World of Warcraft). It is nice to have this mouse for just online use and offline use. this is the best mouse I have ever used! If you are looking for a new mouse for gaming, Internet surfing and just normal computer stuff. Must buy this mouse!

Middle Mouse Button is rubbish

Date:July 1, 2009
This is the 2nd Logitch mouse I bought within half a year and again it has the same problem like the last one: It's so hard to press the middle mouse button that one inevitably scrolls the wheel at the same time - causing unwanted behaviour.
Developers could just as likely have left out the MMB at all. It's useless.
I expect a high-priced product like this to also be high quality - especially in "simple" details. Therefore I only grant one star in overall rating.

the best, but not perfect.

Date:April 23, 2009
it is very customizable.
u can change its weight / shape / size / feel / scrolling
u can switch between profiles, which it stores on the mouse in case u change pc.
plus, u can change sensitivity on the fly.
it is short/small which makes it great for fps and rts.
it could have been a lot better, by adding a couple more thumb buttons on the left and like one on the right for rpg players. (-features)
one thing i noticed was that the grips were not so well made, i even had to trim their bottoms a bit so its edges dont scratch on the desk, which gave me goosebumps like scratching a blackboard :P (-quality)
9/10
PS: i am not a lefty, but i think they should make it for left handers as well. at least via custom order.

Not as good as the G5

Date:April 6, 2009
I tried upgrading from the G5 to the G9, but the shape just does not work for my hand. All of the weight of your hand rests on the heel, while your fingers float above the buttons because of the drop off. On the G5, the mouse fills your hand and the pressure is more evenly spread. The G9 feels like some kind of brick in the hand.
The laser in the G9 died after 1 week and I will not be replacing it.

Nice

Date:March 22, 2009
Waited several weeks before I could find a place to buy this online, just got it this week and have been using it for several days. I've gotta say it is a very good mouse, tracks beautifully in games like cod:waw, L4D, TF2 on cheap black mouse pad. The included logitech setpoint software allows for everything you could ever want to be customized. Switching to the hyper fast scrolling for web browsing is incredible for those long forums or blogs. This was a upgrade from a mx518 mouse I've had for about 3 years and wanted to upgrade to something new, I'm glad I did!

1 problem

Date:March 1, 2009
the mouse is great, however, after any movement the cursor slowly moves up the screen. I can move the mouse side to side 1-2 inches repetitively and in about 20 seconds the cursor is up at the top of the screen...so quite irritating

best one the market

Date:February 5, 2009
I have had this mouse for over a year not and am still loving it. it is a great mouse with its many adaptable options. i loving using the DPI adjustor while gaming to go from fast scans of an area to precsion for that perfect sniper shot. I have found that i adjust the weight in the mouse alot depending on what type of surface i use it on. it tracks on everything, Ive even used my own pant leg! I took mine to Iraq and back and its still going strong. Well worth its price.

Awsome Mouse

Date:January 28, 2009
Good ergonomics, fits hand well. Used the 518 gaming mouse for years, took me 3 or 4 days to get use to it and which weights felt comfortable to use. The profiler is the best part, set up many profiles. Tiger Woods 08, for example, you can set variable X axis and Y axis, and they are not the same. Example: X axis @ 1600 dpi and Y axis at 200 dpi, I don't slice or hook and get awsome power shots, 445 yards is my best.
