Best Headset ever

Date:February 28, 2013
This is and still is the best headset Logitech has ever created for more then one reason
First there very light and easy on the ears the sound quality is awesome .
Second , there cord design using the soft flexable rubber is the best as the hard wire cracks and snaps with time
Third , it's a shame they are not making this model any more of least its showing out of stock
forth yes they break any thing does when it has a wire connected to it I would like to talk to Logitech about a design but they will have to get in contact with me on my idea of a headset that will last for ever and sell like crazy but of course I want my cut :)

Absolutely excellent, especially for the price

Date:January 17, 2013
This is the best gaming headset I've tried, and I've tried a bunch. Here's why:
First, the price. It's darned good, and the value is tremendous. I tried a set of more-expensive Sennheisers, for example, and they were broken out of the box (something several buyers experienced).
Second, sound quality is excellent, especially considering they're primarily for gaming, not music -- the voices of your teammates/guildmates are most important, and vocal clarity is superb. And while I'm sure there are high-end headphones that will do a better job with music, these are pretty darned good for that, too.
Microphone quality is also terrific. I had friends compare how I sounded with this, my wife's El Cheapo headset, the mic on my webcam, and a standalone (Logitech) mic. Verdict: This was tied with the standalone mic for quality. "You sound great," they said. And that wasn't just because of my sexy voice.
Then there's comfort. These have it. Unlike most headsets, this one has an adjustable head strap, and the silicone lining is soft without being sticky. They'll take a little breaking in to get just the right fit, but the important thing is they can GET that fit. Nice job, Logitech. The ear pieces are comfortable foam, not plastic, so sweating isn't an issue.
Oh, and there's one HUGE advantage to these: They sit ON your ears, not over them.
See, if you're just listening to music you want to shut out all the other sounds; earbuds or full-cover ear pieces make sense.
But when you're gaming and using a microphone, you WANT to be able to hear your own voice -- otherwise it's very strange to talk. (Stick your fingers in your ears and speak. You'll understand. It's weird.) Logitech gets that, so by resting on your ears, they allow you to hear ambient sounds (e.g., your own voice) while still delivering crystal-clear audio. That makes a TREMENDOUS difference for gaming.
Finally, the headset comes with both 3.5mm mic/headphone jacks AND a USB adapter. So whichever you prefer -- plugging into your PC's audio jacks or just using a USB port -- you're set. (Most other headsets are either one or the other.)
All this, plus a nice, long cord and easy-to-reach volume control and mute switch make this (especially at this price) the set you oughta get. I'm sure glad I found it after a LOT of searching.

I love these headphones. they have worked for everything I have tried. Sometimes the mic doesn't work, but normally that's just me forgetting to unmute it. The primary problem I've had with these (after 1 year) is that the line-in causes some wierd audio ballance problems, so I have to keep adjusting it until it sounds right coming out of both headphones. Another problem I've had is that the back headband has broken twice. Maybe it's just the way I put them on, but after a year of using them, I've needed to cover the behind-the-head part in tape so as to keep it from breaking again. Other than that, the quality for both the mic and the headset is great. If these end up breaking completely, I'll probably end up buying another set, because I've had no other problems with them

Most comfortable headset ever

Date:December 3, 2012
I'm a hardcore pc gamer and I use my headset for 6+ hours a night. This is by far the most comfortable headset I've ever used... I even bought a spare just in case my dog eats it (that's happened before). It fits perfectly to my head, doesn't feel clumsy, restrictive and doesn't crush my ears.
Sound quality is amazing too and my mic is crystal clear on voicechat.

Ideal replacement

Date:August 26, 2012
Work for call center and G330 replaced headsets that were heavy and caused head and neck pain. G330 are extremely light and adjust easily. The only thing I would add is if the band rests on top of my ears I would like to see padding along the curve to lift band off ears. At this point would definately recommend and buy again.

Best headphone for me on earth

Date:August 18, 2012
This is the best headphone I have ever used I have bought 2 of these so far the last 1 lasted me 1 year. after buying it after around 5months of use the red pads at the side started to come off and all the sticky glue too so I warped a tissue around it and still used it as it worked fine after a few months the sound started to die out so that lasted me a year and I was happy with it and I bought another 1 now and 2 months after the sound on the left side is slowly dieing while the sound on the right side is perfect...

Simple, light weight, weird packaging.

Date:August 8, 2012
This was some of the best money I ever spent. The microphone is very good, and the sounds coming in are good but not the best or something to worry about. The entire thing feels really comfortable but I am worried that the head band that goes around the back of my head will break. That along with the way they packaged this is the only cons I have for this. The way they packaged this makes it difficult to open because about 1 mm away from the edge of the plastic case it comes in is a wire that is crucial for everything. If you cut this wire you are in trouble. The wire is also covered up by an opaque part of the package so... be careful!

Great headset for the price!

Date:August 7, 2012
I play World of Warcraft and Diablo III with this headset and the sound quality is great for these kind of games.
The mic is probably the best i've ever used and have been told it comes closest to my natural voice sound!
My only problem unfortunately is that going through 2 of these already where the adjustable handle that sits behind your head has broken on the same area. First one I super glued it back only to see it not last more then a week. Replaced it with the same headset again and after about four months or so it broke and this time around i taped it up. I wish the plastic was more durable :(

Great Sound. Very Fragile.

Date:August 6, 2012
Great sound, especially the mic quality. You'd have to literally spend 5 times the price to get the same mic quality (this is when using the USB as it has some built-in EQ).
However, as others have noted, the headband is fragile and tends to break. This is really a consequence of the behind-the-head design, not so much the actual quality of the product; most behind-the-head headsets with larger drivers tend to be unbalanced. I'm on my 2nd pair, the first one lasted about a year. You have to be careful pulling them off your head, and where and how you store them when not in use.

Horrible prodcut

Date:July 16, 2012
I bought this Headset and when I unboxed it, the wire connected to the headset going to the mute mic / adjust volume thing was cut off. I can't believe I wasted $50 on something that is broken before I could use it!

Duct Tape

Date:July 4, 2012
Comfortable fit with no ear fatigue. Other headsets make my ears sore and hot. Downside is that you will need duct tape at some point, the plastic band that goes behind your head will bend every time you put on and take off the headset and eventually crack. End up with two pieces held together by the wire going between the two sides. Duct tape seems to be working for now. Other than that the headset has been one of the best I have tried.

Great headset with an awful build quality

I'd like to start with the fact that I know these headsets very well, I've just returned my 3rd G330 to store and ordered a G35 instead. I believe that the only reason I've held onto it for this long is the behind-head design which I love since I had a Logitech Clearchat style headset.
I used it for gaming (everything from Call of Duty to League of Legends and Need for Speed) and general media (YouTube, movies in VLC). It performed very well with the Realtek Audio Surround sound emulation in multiplayer games, I had no problems with sound quality while listening to music (not talking about studio quality, but heavy use for sure).
The flaws of the product come up randomly after 3-9 months of usage, when it just falls apart. It's fixed with the cheapest glue I've ever seen, and the plastic just doesn't hold together. See the attached pictures of my second one which is broke at 2-3 places.
I've given it maximum scores for everything, as it's a great headset (at a reasonable price, at least for me) as long as it doesn't fall apart.

Good performance, and very comfortable!

Date:May 26, 2012
I have had these things for at least two years. The other reviews talk about them snapping on the back part, but I have dropped them countless times from my desk and never had any problems with the build quality. The sound quality is very good for the price. My friends on skype, teamspeak, etc, can always hear me and there is never any problems with sound. After an hour or two of use, they do begin to hurt the tops of your ears, but at this point they no longer bother me.

OK for a couple of months

Date:April 27, 2012
They worked OK for a couple of months, but they broke in half after a couple of months and because I'm careless. They are very fragile on the sliding bar on the back, not enough plastic to hold them together for too long.

The sound quality and comfort is good, but these headsets are very fragile. My first one I put the headsets down from my head to the table the plastic behind the head of the headset snapped in half. I bought a second pair and was extra careful with them but my sister broke them while i was away from my computer for 1 minutes.

Great buy, still work!

Date:April 2, 2012
Had and used these headphones for over a year and definitively worth what I payed for them.
I dropped them, sat on them and even tugged on the cord on a few occasions; They still work like and the first day I got them and it shows no signs of warring down yet... except the mute switch
I originally got them because I like the style, they work well since I ware glasses. The large swing arc of the mic and bendable mic boom was defiantly a plus too.
The only problem I had with it is the mute switch that got harder to use over time, It would click but unless shoved all the way it would not mute. After a year or so of forcing it something inside broke and now it wont click or mute, it just drops with gravity

Bad durability. Would not recommend buying.

Date:February 1, 2012
I've had my G330 headset for several months now, and at first I quite liked it. The audio quality is nice and the comfort is VERY nice.
Unfortunately, the durability of the product is something which leaves little desire. As a long time Logitech supporter, I'm sad to see this. I've had great products from Logitech that have lasted MUCH longer than expected.
Currently, my headset is cracked along the behind-the-head adjustment area and is very loose on the left speaker. It is still usable, but I feel it is only time before it breaks for good.
The next time I buy a headset I'll definitely spend a little more cash on something that can last.

Happy to start...

Date:January 26, 2012
I really liked this headset to start with, they're pretty comfortable, the microphone works great, they sound pretty good. But after a few months, the built in volume control stopped working correctly where now, unless I fiddle with it a ton, the sound comes through clear on the left, but is substantially lower and/or staticy on the right. Really annoying! I thought they were well built to start with, but time has shown otherwise.
