good comments: the sub is amazing same with the speakers!!! i had Bose before, i returned them because it had some problems then i got these from sam's club and they are almost as great as Bose the Bose speakers were 100 bucks more. The bass is great with the volume control and everything i think these are the best speakers out there for this price range.

Purchased a set at Sam`s Club in Clearwater, Fl about two weeks ago. They were $20.00 less than Best Buy... It`s hard to believe the quality of sound for the money.... great deal!

This system IS AWESOME. Had been looking for a system with a subwoofer that sounded good and clear. I must admit once I got it home it was more than I expected.Would highly recommend this for anyone who wanted a system to play music from a computer.

Slightly Dissapointed but Great Sound Quality

My Z523 model makes a very noticeable buzzing sound between all audio when the power is on. Only the right speaker works then the volume is at a relatively low level. This could be because the volume control/bass controls are built in on the right speaker and the right speaker has a more advanced connector to the subwoofer than the left speaker has to the subwoofer. The speakers are slightly bulky and the design is just okay. The sound is premium and impressive when the volume is at a medium or high level. The subwoofer seems more technologically advanced which is positive. The price jumped 30 U.S. dollars one month after purchasing the product now that the holidays are approaching. I am less impressed with this model compared to my previous Logitech speaker system from roughly the same price range.

so i got these on sale for 49 bucks... i didnt realize the satalites had speakers pointing in both directions - they are not ideal for audiophiles in my opinion -
sound is out of phase from bouncing off walls etc - im just baffled at that design
other than that, everything else is high quality
another issue though is the analogue volume knob is ... not even... goes from super quite to tooo loud with 2 mm of a turn

I bought this speakers from Fry's electronics for like 80 bucks and than i will get 40 bucks rebate on preety soon it so yeh preety nice speakers for like 40 bucks range also sound is hecka nice you cannot compare to any other speakers, bass is specially too good because i just attach to my new pc which has a dts dolby digital, before i tried other expensive speakers but even this one just 100 bucks i will still buy if they werent on rebate

Great 2.1 speakers

Pro: Great bass and mid-range sounds for the price. Aux RCA on sub is very useful: a more direct connection between the speakers and my desktop than the 3.5mm (cable is built-in style btw) to the right speaker.
Con: Not too sure about the "360 degree" thing - I'm in front of the speaker and these are for desktop use, not portable use.

Ive been listening to these speakers for the last hour and i am really surprised with the quality, Bass is big and crisp (and im pretty fussy) and mids and highs are extremely clear. Very Impressive for the price range, if your looking at new speakers for anything in this price range, Definitely check these ones out. You wont be disappointed at all.

Great sounding speaker system. Logitech Z 523 has articulate bass with very good transient respons, fast and tight, not "one bass note". Mid frequencies are clear, transparent with excellent stero image, depth and wide. Hights are very dinstict and clear and transparent as well. Listen "Joey Jordison drum solo" from youtube. Incredible!!!
Also voices, (male female) are very good. This speaker system can satisfy every taste.

Muddy Highs but a decent purchase

Unfortunately, my existing Altec Lansing speakers were going out after lasting me four years so I looked to Logitech. I purchased this speaker set thinking it would be similar or better to the $70 pair I purchased from Altec Lansing. The base is fantastic and sounds really deep. The speakers have a great look to them and the wiring to connect it all is very organized and is arranged smartly. Unfortunately, there are no specific tweeters to really get the highs that I wanted. As a result of direct comparison with my old speakers, it is safe to say that although the Logitech speakers are a real quality product, I was disappointed that the spectacular base and mid ranges just drown out any highs that could be heard otherwise. A good pair but maybe settle for the 3 series instead of this 5 series.

I work for a city parks and recreation department. I recently bought a projector so we could show movies to our kids in the afterschool program. I then needed speakers that could withstand constant moving and kids. This product is amazing. It hooks up to our projector perfectly and the volume is awsome. Our kids area is 120 ft. by 60 ft. and with the speakers on just over half volume, it will drown out the sound of the kids talking during a movie and will fill the room with sound; no problem. For $100, this product is a steal if you are looking for speakers for your projector or computer.

Great sound, big bass.

I bought mine three weeks ago and am completely satisfied by the quality and compactness of the system. Set up took less than 20 minutes and I was playing my Xbox 360 with a full rich home theater sound a few moments later.
I will say that it has quite a lot of power and will be more than capable of filling any room smaller than tennis court. My gameroom is 15'x15' and I routinely have to keep the volume down to about a quarter of the maximum.
It's a big win in the value and styling department. The only downside is the one audio input. It would be nice to plug multiple A/V cables into it.
