For an inexpensive set of speakers, these are outstanding. I bought a cheap 42" Seiki LED TV which has subpar speakers to say the least and the Logitechs do the trick. Now don"t get me wrong, you won't be able to have a huge dance party with these but you'll be able to enjoy a great movie or watch the 49ers going all the way!!!

Wasn't all that impressed:
When playing music at moderate volume, noticeable distortion in the high end, bass wasn't really responsive, and midrange was missing. Tried a lot of tracks & equaliser settings to try to repair the sound, no real joy.
Volume control looks nice but hard to grip. Should be knurled.
Just cheap speakers.

And then i saw them. Sitting behind a window. And GOD, i loved the way they looked. And for only €50 at the time, it was a bargain. But the real fun started when i got them out of the box. When i turned them on, i was AMAZED. These speakers sound GREAT! i love them, and they even look nice with my pc! However, i have a very small desk, and the opening under it is TINY. So now my feet and the little subwoofer are sharing the same space... And that doesn't go well. I keep kicking the little thing around xD. The bass dial is on the back of the sub, which gives ergonomy -1*. The volume control is well-placed tho.
About the sound quality: It's kinda focussed on the mids, but a graphic EQ fixes that no problem. All the complaints about hollow sound are NOT true... Just place them correctly and it really is as immersive as it says on the box. When you listen closely to the sub, you'll notice there is a present port noise... Which is why it's better to place it close to the ground. Turn the bass down tho, because it is REALLY dominant.
At a last note, be REALLY careful putting them down, since the sub isn't protected! Put it onto an object and you have a nice hole in it:S

I'm an avid fan of dubstep/house/electro/club music, and these are not the speakers you want if you want to listen to that type of music. I just got mine, and I started to play some music, of course house, and i turned the bass up and it already felt torn. However, if you're listening to basically any other type of music that doesn't use copious amounts of bass, these speakers are very good. the only improvement would be a bit cleaner treble.

Received these speakers about a week ago, was quite excited to get them since it has been a long time since I upgraded. my previous speakers were a 12 year old pair of 2.0 Bose Speakers that were finally starting to go. Unfortunately, my old Bose speakers far outperform the new Logitechs in terms of sound quality. Whereas the older speakers project sound so that it seems as though it is all around you, the sound coming out of the logitechs is noticeably centered within each speaker and sounds a bit muffled. Playing around with the equalizer has only helped to marginally alleviate this. They certainly look slick, but in terms of sound quality they are very middle of the road.

I upgraded to the Z232's from an ANCIENT 2.0 system. The difference is incredible. I never realized how terrible and tinny all my music sounded until today. After messing with a few audio setting, the sound coming from the 323s was epic.
I cant recommended them more highly. Seriously. If you're looking for a 2.1 system to game/watch movies or listen to music you cant go wrong with the 323s.

I had a Bose sound system before this one and one of the speakers just died, and Bose only offered me a slight discount for a replacement so I decided it was time to branch out. At first I did not like this system at all, the bass sounded pretty bad in my opinion. I had the bass speaker on my desk behind my dual screen. I then moved it below my desk in my dorm, where it is surrounded by the thick wood of the desk and a brick wall behind it, and it made the bass speaker sound SO much better. I also played around with the equalizer on my computer. I love the system and it sounds great for quite listening with a nice pound of bass even at low volumes, and loud listening sounds just as good if not better. The system sounds great for metal and rap and everything else. Overall a great product for cheap.

Sound is awesome. Main speakers are heavy enough so that they stay in place on your desk and won't fall over. Main volume control on right speaker and not on an annoying dongle like the speakers on my other PC that gets knotted up with other cables every 5 minutes. Bass control is located on the rear of sub-woofer, which I like because I can set the level where I like it and leave it there. Kids have not found that control yet so can't mess with it! Offers really good bass considering its small footprint.
Going to buy another set!

I bought these online a few weeks ago and so far, they are working great. Bass is surprisingly responsive for its small size as are the speakers. When I first turned them on I literally turned around because it sounded like the music was coming from multiple directions! (They don't lie about the 360 effect). After a while of course, I became accustomed and able to identify the location of the speakers although they sound just as beautiful on the opposite side of the room as they do 2 feet away.
I am a passionate metalhead, ranging my variety of music from the most popular rock songs to melodic death metal, and I am surprised that the bass is able to keep up with the double pedal blast beats that are prevalent in the extreme subgenres of metal. It also handles other genres of music quite well, especially techno, trance and electronica, which I will be using quite a lot hosting some small dorm parties ;)
Only thing I find bad about the speakers is that even though they're powerful, they still give a feeble vibe; I am still nervous about cranking up the volume beyond the halfway point in fear that they will implode. Beyond all of this, they are amazing speakers and I am most definitely pleased with my purchase. It's also my first Logitech purchase so, Congratulations Logitech! You have a new customer. :)

I bought these because I've never gone wrong with a Logitech purchsase, and this time is no different.
For $70 they are an incredible bargain. They sound great and are small enough to hide behind the other stuff on the desk without taking up too much space.
Don't know what else I could ask for in a small PC speaker system.

While dorm shopping, I happening to glance over in the electronics section of a near by target. After playing around with some of the speakers, I stumbled upon these bad boys. They had a small "Test Me" button on them so by initiating the demo I was transformed by the sound quality... That is to say the sound quality of the random song being played. (Not Much Bass) Later I figured out why.. While I was crankin dat or Partying like a Rockstar, I noticed that the bass was not performing very well at all.. First off you couldn't feel that amazing vibration you get from quality systems and second the bass was being distorted to the point of Rattling! Everyone has heard it, where the bass can hit a few chosen notes and the wrest are a rattled mess..
Overall, the system is very attractive and cosmetically pleasing but the bass just didn't cut it for me.. I am sticking with logitech and upgrading to the Z523 Model where hopefully the 40 watt will be a bit more pleasing than the 30.
I would recommend logitech, but not this speaker system, do yourself a favor and spend a few extra bucks and purchase the Logitech Z523 where the speakers actually have a protective mesh covering! (Unlike the Z323)
Thanks

These are some really great speakers for the price. The sub packs quite a punch for the size and 30 watts is exceptional. It's advertised for use with televisions but its not really that immerse. My only problem is the missing volume control "pad" which was included with the 25 watt version.

I have these set up with the smaller speakers on a shelf above the PC and the subwoofer tucked behind the monitor. Like this it offers a warm and friendly yet clear sound that is flexible enough to cope with music between 18th and 21st century with no problem. Likewise with DVD playback and PC games.
Will never compete with a dedicated hifi system but for sticking in the back of a PC does the job well enough at a reasonable price.
There is a certain amount of leeway with speaker positioning but I think the two smaller speakers could be a little less tall and thin.

I use this for a first time self assembled pc that has built in HD sound. At first I was looking to purchase a $7 to 12 dollar pair of speakers. When I saw this I figured it would be worth a try since I didn't have speakers (well monitor speakers, but the audio got lost when I switched from dvi- to an HDMI adapter).
I ordered these from an online store came to my house with in 2 days. I hooked them up and was so happy that I no longer had to use speakers that had to carry the bass while playing the music making it quite hard to understand while listening.
If you're wondering about gaming? YES OH YES they play the in game music and sound beautifully. Especially if your motherboard is capable of on board HD sound. As for a comment about hollow sound, you will need to go into your speaker section of your operating system and un check speaker fill.
I plugged my MP3 player to the MP3 player audio jack and the sound plays just the way your MP3 can play it. And MP4 for those of you who owns one.
