I bought this after careful scrutinizing of several laptop cooling pads. I love logitech products and expected this to keep my laptop cool. It kept my lap cool, but after only 30 minutes, my laptop shut off. That's the only complaint I have about this product. Everything else rocks.

When I was looking at lap pads, I needed one which would provide exceptional cooling ability. My laptop had shut off many times while hooked up to the tv due to it overheating. I was skeptical that a pad without fans would really do the job. However it has performed excellently. The processor literally runs 20 degrees cooler and hasn't turned off.
As for using as a lapdesk, it is perfect. It is super thin, super light and very strong. It is rubber to keep the computer from sliding even if I lift my knees up at an angle. The slide out shelf is very smooth to use and very strong. I am not worried about it breaking off as with other products I've seen. I use a trackball with shelf. I can attest if there would be enough room for a mouse.

I received this product as a Christmas gift and was thrilled to know I no longer had to bear the heat of my laptop on my legs and that I had a place for my mouse besides the arm of my recliner! Love the non-skid surface since i'm always putting my laptop on the floor or another chair. My only complaint is that the wonderful slide out mouse pad isn't compatible with my wireless mouse unless I put something with texture under it.

My boyfriend's mom saw that I liked my boyfriend's lapdesk and got me the same one. This has been so amazing in keeping my macpro's fans from being blocked by my legs. Its grip is so nice, especially if I tilt it a little, my laptop won't slide. It keeps it from falling!
My only complaint is the black color. My mom steals mine all the time to use it. Mine is gray. We went to get her one today at target and noticed they no longer carry gray anywhere. The black one, hanging up in the store, already has tons of white specs on it from dust and things. It's this dirty looking before it has ever been used. The new color makes any dust or fuzzes so noticeable. The gray is definitely a better appearance!

Love it so much I got one for my dad as a gift. Perfectly portable, completely solved my problem about where to put my mouse. BUT, the mousepad can be noisy. Certain mice (go figure the matching ones) make a scratching noise with use.

I brought my laptop for entertainment on a recent trip to a beachhouse. Having been there before I knew that actaully *using* the laptop was a challenge. I found this a local Walmart. I didn't think it was really what I was at looking for, but the selection was limited so I tried it.
What a great find. I relaxed in a rocking chair on a screened patio. The non-skid desk did not slide on me, nor did the computer slide on the desk. The retractable mousepad was just big enough to allow fluid mouse action, and when I rocked the chair, the raised edge of the mouse deck kept the mouse from sliding off. On my trip home, the desk fit right into my backpack with the computer.
I cannot find anything negative to say.

This is the most wonderful notebook companion I've ever seen. BUT the biggest problem is it never works well with others.
For all Desktop Replacement, it's simply still too thick to be put into the EVA compartment.
And with the mouse mat, if you're a Darkfield or Bluetrack mouse user, it's such a waste for putting them on a normal surface..
Thirdly, it keeps your notebook in place , but doesn't grip on your knees!
Fourthly, the retractable mouse pad, since it's retractable, it comes with a con——It's a bit too light and not stable enough for a big hand or a big mouse, or at least, it's not recommendable for a Mouse Mat hanger.
So if the above highlights doesn't concern you, go ahead, this little blackboard definitely worth you 30 dollars.

My wife wanted me to stop hogging her lap desk, so I found this one on sale and bought it. It has been just fine - I really appreciate the retractable mouse pad - very useful. My mouse does tend to slide around on there, but the lip keeps it from falling off - good design feature. The lap desk is thin enough to easily fit inside the laptop sleeve.

I stumbled across this item at Marshall's several month's ago. I had never seen one like it but thought the $14 price tag was worth giving it a try. Little would I know how quickly I would want another....
It fits my 15" laptop perfectly and keeps my computer - AND my lap - nice and cool. It's slim, lightweight design is fantastic, but the best feature by far is the pull-out mouse tray with the raised edge! Not only do I now have a place for my mouse, but it doesn't slide off! Who would have thought such a simple little deisgn would make my life so much easier?!? (I get so frustrated when I use the mouse-touch-pad-thing).
I loved it so much, that I had been on the hunt to find a second at Marshall's / TJ Maxx to use with my work laptop. I had nearly given up hope when - FINALLY - I found another! I was so excited to get a second at the same great price. I now carry one in my work laptop bag, while the other permanently resides under my laptop at home.
Thank you Logitech for a great and simple design!

I love my lapdesk. It works well with both my Acer Netbook (10in) and Cr-48 laptop (15in). The mouse pad works great, and has been a great asset. My only issue was that the screws holding the rubberized top to the hard plastic underneath were loose under the non-skid pads. I simply tightened them, and have had no problems since.

I bought the lapdesk because I was in search of a thin, comfortable laptop tray that was not ugly and gaudy, but it didn't fit my laptop because it wasn't 17 inches wide. Please, Logitech make a lapdesk for me!! Please!! Your product is awesome and my wife thinks so also, because she made me give her the one I bought. I've searched high and low and I can't find a product as good as yours. Please help. Thank You.

When I bought my laptop, I wanted a product just like this. Thank you Logitech for being the only company that I know of to make something like this. The lap desk is thin, and not cheap so where it's flimsy, it's light weight, and it fits in my sleeve with my laptop. The mouse tray is nice and sturdy too. The only issue that I have is with Logitech, and not the product, which is that I wished that they made different sizes, because I have a 16.4" laptop. Other than that, it still works for me.

This lapdesk is perfect for my 14" laptop. It is thin and takes up no room in my laptop back. The slide out mouse pad is a lifesaver as I always have issues using the touchpad. This keeps my laptop running cool at all times and prevents my lap from getting hot while using my computer from the comfort of my bed or recliner.

I love the Lapdesk. I couple of weeks before this came out I was looking for something that I could use for my laptop and when not using my laptop, my HTPC wireless keyboard and mouse. There is nothing out there that beats the design, style, and comfort of the Lapdesk. And the price is extremely reasonable. It is easy to store in a desk drawer and fits in my laptop carrying bag as well. The slide out/retractable mouse pad is my favorite feature. If there is anything that I could ask for in a cooling pad, it would be this feature.

This is an excellent product. I bought it for my 15 inch laptop and loved it. But...then I got a 17 inch and it is not quite wide enough. My son still uses it with the smaller one, but I am hoping Logitech has plans for a wider one! I absolutely love the slide out for the mouse!!

I was so happy that I had finally bought a new laptop (15.6" Screen) for myself. Unfortunately, I've had bad experiences with using touch pads, and I feel as though I can do so much more with a mouse. This lapdesk is perfect in every respect. It's sleek, thin, and very portable due to its light weight and slide-out mouse pad. Keeps my legs from frying when, say, watching Blu - Ray movies. And it fits perfectly in with my laptop in my backpack. I had worried that the mousepad would snap or break after seeing the pictures, but it seems more sturdy and expected, and the whole product has great quality. A must have for all who have laptops!

I have been using this lapdesk for about a month, and I like it very much. I really like the pull-out mousepad as it is hard to use your mouse when sitting in a chair with soft arms. The lapdesk also fits in my carrying bag very easily as it is so thin. I wish you made a larger size of this product as my laptop is 17 inches. It fits on this lapdesk, but just barely. If you made this product in a larger size it would be perfect!

I like that it is very thin and fairly light so i can easily stow it away in my backpack along with my laptop. Grippy-top surface material does a good job with keeping the laptop secure when shifting positions, but it also can tend to get crumbs/dust stuck to it; at least this is remedied with quick wipe-down with a moistened paper towel (or brushing them off by hand, but this takes a bit more effort lol). I like the versatility of the lapdesk. While its primarily designed for laptop use, i've been able to use it as a lapdesk for reading textbooks on, heck in a scrunch, even used it as a tabletop for putting a box of lunch and a drink on it on the go. The slide out mousepad is very nice with only a few drawbacks: its super-duper slippery (so anything on it will slip around when you reposition yourself, or if its not a very big or weighty thing like a pen cap, it might slip off). However, it has rubbery border edges , which help to prevent the mouse from sliding all the way off, but these edges are sometimes a little uncomfortable when accidentally brushing up on them with your wrist (tho this is just a minor thing). the mousepad also does not have anything much to support beneath it unless you spread your legs out so that one leg is under the mousepad, otherwise just be careful not to put tooo much pressure on the mousepad, it bends down a lil (it shouldn't be too bad though, it generally feels sturdy). Overall GREAT product that does as advertised (and more if you wanna get creative with its versatility) with only a few minor cons. WOULD RECOMMEND overall :P I got this to use at college now that i commute and don't always have access to a desk; it has been most helpful.
