I don't typically write product reviews; however, I was compelled to write one for this particular mouse. I purchased my wireless Logitech mouse about 3 years ago. Since that time, it has been dropped on the floor, no less than 30 times. From carpet to hardwood flooring to tile flooring. It has bounced across the room multiple times. My 13 year old son has the same mouse and needless to say, his has bounced quite a few times as well.
Every time I am quite sure that with the force of hit, this mouse will break. And every single time I have been proven wrong. Even when it hits so hard that the battery covering pops off, all pieces are still in tact. The clips that hold the battery covering in place never break off either.
I truly believe that given the abuse this little thing has taken, it is indestructible. It is difficult in today's market to find something built so tough. Every time it goes bouncing, I tell my husband..... I need to write a review on this product.... so here it is!

I love Logitech hardware and the M305 mouse doesn't disappoint. Have used a couple of these all over the country, used and abused and they perform wonderfully.
But today, I bought a new M305 and I almost went berserk trying to get it out of the package. The convoluted blister pack took ten minutes time, scissors. a razor knife and a twelve year old to open up, and then I cut my finger on the sharp plastic edge. Aargh!
From now on, I won't purchase any product unless the retailer will open the packaging for me.

Every time I buy or receive a mouse, it works well, but when I got this mouse, it is a must buy mouse. It is really easy to customize when the settings and functions are needed. When it comes to traveling, the USB nano-receiver can be protected whenever you put it inside the mouse and if you leave or forget it as it is plugged into a laptop, if won't have a chance of breaking as much as a normal USB receiver.

I have had a number of Logitech's mice, however, this is the first one that cramps my hand. As such, it appears also not to be precise, but this is because I tend to do mistakes when my hand cramps. Surprisingly, I do not have large hands, and I have specifically opted for a smaller mouse, and now I am confused if this is the reason for my cramping hand. Also, the mouse buttons are kind of loud...

The m305 wireless mouse has sharp and exact movements. It also has a very comfortable feel to it. The wireless receiver is small and convenient because it can be stored inside the mouse. That was significant to me because I usually lose small things like that. Lastly, the battery life is very respectable as long as you don't abuse it by leaving it "On" for several hours a day.

Since first computer purchase in early 80s (20MB HD) have owned many different manufacturer mice included in PC or LT and through direct purchase. Logitech Mice have provided the most reliable, technologically advanced, ease of setup, use and comparable, reasonable price of all owned.
No support ever required other than driver & update downloads. Strongly recommend, without hesitation, purchase of any Logitech product.

We have owned the Wireless Mouse M305 for a little over one year now and it has performed flawlessly. We love the short USB plug for use with our laptop which helps to prevent it from being broken off and can be left in the PC all the time. We have owned a Microsoft wireless mouse and because the USB plug was so long it caused the connections inside the USB plug to be broken and caused the mouse to fail. We are very pleased with the Logitech Wireless Mouse M305 model.

This mouse was overall great, it didn't skip once while I had it. The design if for ambidextrous, but if you have big hands you may thinks its kinda small.
I had installed it in less than a minute, all I did was plug the receiver in the computer, wait 30 seconds or so, then any time I took the receiver out, it would work immediately after I would put it back in.
The only problem is that it has a short life span. Mine lasted for about a year before it died. Other than that its a great mouse.

I have just replaced this product after less than 6 months. First, it absolutely sucks up batteries; they only last about three weeks. Second, it's very hard to change the battery. Third, the buttons came loose and started double- and triple-clicking themselves.
NOTE: I replaced with another Logitech product, the M505.

I too am a 67 y.o. grandmother and I had the very SAME difficulty getting the battery door opened and I do NOT have arthritis. In fact, it took awhile for me to learn there was a switch to control it (that's cuz the pictures are really good but I would have preferred words to accompany them). Anyway, the suggestion that the little switch be manually opened and then closed is a good one. But, I guess the younger ones could have done all this in their sleep so I am just proud I figured it out. And was it ever fast from opening package (which required cutting tools that are probably not legal) to operating it! I love it.

The mouse itself is very nice and works well. But 3-4 weeks on an AA alkaline battery is terrible! Doesn't work with rechargeable batteries either - I think it is because they are 1.2V. So, I've switched back to my old wired mouse. I see no point in spending so much on batteries. Too bad, because it fits my hand well.

Am 67 yr. old, arthritic grandma--pretty computer savy. Had to put duct tape on slider button to hold in place while turned mouse over and opened battery compartment.
Just make it so the slider stays in place til you're done.

I have an iMac Macintosh computer and the magic mouse just doesn't cut it for me. Unfortunately it dropped one time and that was it. Instead of getting another magic mouse my first choice for a quality mouse is Logitech. The mouse fits so comfortably in your hand and glides across as you move your cursor. I recommend this mouse to anyone because it's just that great.

I have had numerous other wireless mice but none compare to this one..To say I am clumsy and have a bad case of the uh ohs is an understatement...If this mouse hasn't been dropped 50 times, it hasn't been dropped once..It gets dropped at the very least 3 times a week and every time I drop it I think that's it, I need a new mouse, but nooo..this thing is better than a Timex...it takes a lickin but keeps on tickin..It is scratched banged up and has dings everywhere...this mouse will not die..I love it so much I went out and got one for each of my granddaughters, my daughter-in-law, got another for my desktop..and recommend it to anyone who says they need a wireless mouse..Thank you Logitech for making a product that is worth every hard earned penny I made..

I love this product because it is comfortable, convenient, and easy to use. The nano receiver is much better than an inconveniently large receiver in terms of size. The mouse feels comfortable and sleek, allowing hours of browsing comfort. Also, this mouse is wireless, which is easy to use because the wire is non-existent,therefore it can not be in the way. I love this mouse, and so will others.
