Scroll Wheel Useless

Date:May 18, 2013
Have been trying to use this mouse for several weeks. I like the shape and the tracking is very good. However, the scroll wheel is a complete fail! I have tried adjusting the sensitivity in settings (LCC). That helps a little. If the wheel is clicked to the smooth setting, it becomes completely useless when working with graphic and layout programs that require a some degree of accuracy and control. The page jerks up and down when scrolling and stops several pixels after you stop scrolling - impossible to get it to stop when you need or want it to. Sensitivity also changes wildly from application to application. Only thing is acceptable at is scrolling web pages. I do a lot more than that. Will be used as backup mouse only. Do not recommend to anyone who needs anything close to precision in regards to the scroll wheel.

Eats Batteries First Mouse ever to stop working

Date:May 9, 2013
I have had this Mouse for years and have 2 other logitech wireless mice and and a logitech keyboard. I like the brand and the replacement I have chosen is Logitech.
This is the first mouse that has ever stopped working, looking at the bottom it is obvious the laser or whatever has burned out. I am not going through the tech support hassel because I already determined that I do not have the appropriate documentation. I was offered a replacement because the excessive battery consumption but because of my faith in Logitech I did not save a lot of stuff. This device worked well for about 3 years but burned through about 12 years of batteries then it just quit going for the logitech 510 I think. Researching a new mouse when I ran in to this opportunity to comment.

Loved this mouse until it just stopped working

Date:May 6, 2013
Owned it for about 6 months and then it just won't click and drag. Going to buy a new mouse. Save yourself some pain and get another mouse.

Best Mouse Ever

Date:April 29, 2013
This mouse is great! It is very comfortable, smooth, works on any surface, and I love the wheel's smooth action. I am going to buy another one for my wife's computer.

A must have - the most advanced mouse until 2013

Date:April 29, 2013
The scroll wheel has 2 modes: raster or free run (switch by wheel click, real wheelclick is an extra button). As the Wheel is well weighted and balanced, you have perfect control in both modes.
This piece of technology really brakes a technology wall: support for opaque glass. This also brings the benefit that it runs better than others on all other surfaces like pillow or blanket.
Any traveller knows that in some hotels you cannot work because everything is glass covered. Then you go to the bed and still dont find a good surface to run on. Then you take a piece of paper or menu, even on the menu the mouse is not really flowing. These times are definitely over.
I was definitely much faster in my work (programmer) from the first moment. Scrolling is more exact, weighting is not too light, click is exact... and not to talk about the newly explored surfaces i can ride on...
Gread product, i will definitely buy more of it.

Scroll wheel too erratic

Date:April 27, 2013
Very disappointed with the scroll wheel, the "wheel" just keeps moving with slight movement of the mouse.
The look and feel of the mouse was good, and felt well built. However I have struggled to keep the pointer and page scroll under control owing to the scroll wheel. This is the first time Logitech mouse which failed to deliver to my expectation.

Broke after 10 months

Date:April 23, 2013
Actually this happened to two of these mice. Logitech replaced the first one, then the second failed, again in less than a year. In both cases the left button click started to act funny, then got progressively worse, until the mouse was too frustrating to use.
I gave two stars because other than this, I really did like the mouse.

no middle button / click on scroll wheel

Date:April 21, 2013
....which makes it totally hobbled for CAD, ProE, Solidworks etc. You can re-program other buttons to act as the middle click, but not the wheel, unless you program the push the wheel sideways for scroll to be middle click. ( And then just re-program yourself and however many years you have of using a wheel as the middle button to match your new Anywhere Mouse MX)
Really odd oversight to give two scroll modes with the wheel, but not the basic click as per any Microsoft (and other Logitech) mice. What were they thinking? So focussed on allowing the wheel to spin freely they forgot that it should be a button too.
Even the 'experts' in PC World / Currys in the UK advised me that the soft clicking you can hear on their demo mouse was the click, who could blame them - they were wrong - sadly they didn't have it connected to a PC or I would have realised.
Ho hum, back it goes.

Great mouse, would recommend

Date:April 19, 2013
Pros: Tracks anywhere even on my blanket that other mice cant, the fibers throws off the camera, but this mouse flawlessly glides across.
Heavy feel, sturdy construction. Glossy coating. Stylish.
The center button that changes scroll speed isn't easily pressed so I wont accidentally change the scroll speed while scrolling.
Came with a cover.
Cons: The left and right buttons are LOUD, I sometimes have to use my laptop left and right buttons because of the click click click of this mouse. I don't like mice you have to take the back cover off to put the receiver in, cause the back cover the clip will get weak over time if accidentally undone incorrectly. The on/off switch I worry may become weak over time too after extended use.
Overall: Great mouse, would highly recommend. Most of my cons aren't really cons, Logitech makes some high quality products and I am probably being paranoid. Don't expect to sit unnoticed in a quiet place using this mouse though. :)

Disappointed

Date:April 17, 2013
I've used many other Logitech wireless mice and have always loved them. Got this at one Costco but hate the way it responds (or doesn't), scrolls then reverses. Even after fiddling with the settings it just doesn't feel like an extension of my hand the way the others have.

Disapointed

Date:April 16, 2013
I am a college student and I got this mouse about 5 months ago because my other mouse was getting old. At first this mouse performed fairly well but about a week after getting it the pointer started jumping while moving across the screen and not double clicking properly. this makes using the mouse very difficult to use for tasks as basic as surfing the web. Contemplating going back to my other mouse

Disappointment ...

Date:April 15, 2013
I bought two Anywhere Mouse MX in short time and unfortunately they both had the same problem: premature wear of contact from "Left click" button. I liked this mouse, but I'm disappointed!

No Complaints. Worth your money.

Date:April 8, 2013
I'm a college Student at UW Madison, and needed a new mouse after donating my old Logitech to my house. I had a little extra cash so I decided to get the Anywhere Mouse MX. I have to say that even if i didnt have that extra cash, if i would have known how this mouse preformed i would have got it anyway. It literally works anywhere AND WELL. I do a lot of gaming as well as just handy work and this has worked way above expectations for both. Normally when you read "works anywhere" you think "ok, so it hardly works anywhere and probably only decent on a good surface compared to other products." That couldn't be further from the truth, this mouse if amazing for anything. If you're looking for a high quality mouse that will never start jumping around the screen on a bad surface get this one. I've used it on everything from long carpet to my bare leg. Both of which i would feel comfortable to game with!!!! Great product, Thank you Logitech.

Anywhere Mouse - hasn't been EVERYWHERE yet!

Date:April 6, 2013
I really needed a wireless mouse and this one was pricey but the ones on sale at Office Depot that I liked were sold out (of course). I then considered this price range, the heck with it! Really cheap stuff can work fine but not necessarily. Computer came with wired mouse anyway.
This mouse fits my hand and is lightweight and easy to use. The tracking ability is the biggest attraction for me. I loved the Kensington track ball mouse where the ball was as big as a cueball, but you can't really get that one anymore - got to be as accurate as my hand before touch screens. Logitec has a good rep so no problem with purchase there, just was more than I was going to spend. I considered it not as an accessory but as a piece of my computer outfit, as important as any other part (HP Pavilion 20 all-in-one). The ability to track on so many different surfaces/handy objects etc. was maybe the most important. So far, the only drawback is that I may be tracking on something that's too small a surface area, or that isn't horizontal and the mouse will slide off, plus can accidentally get buried under other stuff on my workbench.
All in all, this was the right tool for the job at hand, it works great, does what they say, doesn't bother my hand or fingers, and I can sit at any angle in any position and find a way to use it, including a small lap desk thing with a mouse pad...or a piece of paper, or a plastic notebook, or my leg, or whatever is handy. Haven't tried it with the HP Notebook I have but I'm sure it will be a great addition beyond the touch pad mouse that drives me nuts. If you want to add a mouse to a machine that only has a touch pad, buy this one.

Product is Glossy... big no no

Date:April 3, 2013
I learned about this mouse too late.. i heard amazing reviews on the earlier generation and this newest generation went from a course great feeling material to a glossy material that gets dirty and feels sticky after using a lot. Why go glossy Logitech? I wish i could buy the older generation mouse but I cannot find it anywhere anymore.
Besides my dislike for the glossy material i really like this mouse.. i hope the next generation does away with gloss.. Unless you like fingerprint marks all over your mouse.

Left button issue intolerable

Date:March 28, 2013
I agree with many of the negative reviews on here. Absolutely loved this mouse for the first six months but it's become almost unusable since the left button double and triple clicks with only one click from me. As good as the extra features are, I'll have to return.

Great Mouse!

Date:March 14, 2013
I have had this mouse for about 6 months and I love it. I went through 3 competitor "wireless anywhere" mice before this one and was ready to give up, then I tried this Logitech mouse. It has features I never thought would be helpful, but are. If you are more of a mouse user than a keyboard user, I recommend this mouse. The scroll wheel allows to use fast scrolling OR slow scrolling. The feature I never thought would be helpful is the tab button below the wheel; this helps you tab screens with a single click. I thought it was interesting that if one of the batteries is low, the mouse will still use it's auxillary power from the other. I have had no problems with lag or connectivity, and the laser does read on everything I've tried.

Too imprecise !

Date:February 16, 2013
Installation was easy and the mouse is stylish and fits the hand well. However, it's operation with Windows 7 64 bit is too imprecise and intermittent. I am constantly "jiggling" the mouse to get it to properly respond to my commands and the scrolling operation is unreliable - sometimes too fast and other times unresponsive.

I agree with Richard from Tampa about this mouse double clicking. Remains to see whether Logitech will replace a faulty mouse.
