I recently purchased a Logitech Anywhere MX mouse after having owned a Performance MX mouse for several months.
I am duly impressed with each mouse and how well crafted they are.
The only change that I would make to the Anywhere MX mouse would be to change the size of the small UP / DOWN or Cruise UP / Cruise Down buttons located on the left side of the mouse.
They tend to be just a tad too small and a bit above and forward from where my right thumb rests naturally, but this is but a minor gripe of mine.
What I'd love to see done is the implementation of a scroll wheel in place of the buttons. Have it lay flat / horizontal so that the user's thumb could easily rotate the scroll wheel both forward and backwards. It would add yet another dimension to the mouse which could be customized.
In essence, a mouse with TWO scroll wheels! :D

I bought 3 more to have for future use. I have used this for over a year and it's just like brand new. Great build quality and feels decent in hand for a mobile mouse.
I'd recommend this mouse to anyone!

As a journeyman machinist and having spent 20 years involved in product development I know a well designed and well built product when I use it. I have tried many a mouse in my day and this is a quality mouse. It even tracks on the arm of my recliner,and the on/off slider on the underside is really convenient for switching from mouse to game pad on the fly. Try it! You'll like it!

I don't like the fast scroll. When you let go of the wheel the web page bounces. It needs a little more resistance.
Throw the install disk away. Just go to the web site and download the latest. You'll end up there anyway.
Does work on any surface as claimed. But the texture of the surface can control how fast you move your hand. Couch material verus a mouse pad, or table cloth, etc...

i looked at every mouse Best Buy had to offer and it came down to the high end touch mice made for windows 7 a logitech touch mouse and the top microsoft mouse. i decided i wanted a physical wheel because i just love spinning a wheel and when i got home the mouse was preconfigured to my expectation given the button layout i was ready to go out of the box. i did however set the wheel side buttons one to zoom and one to do a 1 click google search. ergonomics and comfort are excellent tracking is wonderful the features both hardware and software buttons layout reciever storage run on one battery if necessary a nice GUI piece of software to configure the mouse to your liking and the flowing wheel feels to me like when apple put a wheel on the ipod 40GB when it came out it just sets the bar the mouse wheel sets the bar so that every mouse after today needs to have the same wonderful wheel that had such an impact on me. it seems absurd but logitech really hit the nail on the head here and credit is due. they really really thought about this in so many ways more than the user will to give the user an experience beyond what they knew was possible they made some solutions for problems that havent been defined yet. i call it APPLEsc product execution at best

This anywhere mouse is just about the most perfect mouse I've used, and I've used a lot of them over the years. It does what it says it will do and with far more ease than I had expected. I would recommend this mouse for both desktop and laptop/tablet users. So many features to choose from, but my favorites are: the nano receiver stays in my laptop; I don't have to take it out and put it in again: it really does work anywhere, and since I often use my laptop in bed, that is a real benefit: last, but not least, is the storage area for the transceiver if ever it is necessary to carry the mouse to an alternate computer. It is simply the best of the best, and the price is resonable, another great feature.

I own this one for less than 6 months and I do really like it. It fail one time and contact the customer service for help and was replaced another one within week.

A solid mouse is something I always like, but with a portable mouse, it's even more important because I really give it a beating, throwing it in my bag every few days.
The buttons sit well, but have a good tactile click. The wheel feels good in both of its modes, but less forceful than some of the desktop mice in the segmented mode. The scroll switch button is solid and not accidentally depressed ( a potential issue as the button is in the scroll wheel itself ).
I have a glass desk, and the laser has worked as advertised. The receiver nicely docks in the battery compartment, but I usually leave it in my laptop.
Overall the only thing I can complain about is that it is too small for my admitted large hands, so if you fall into this category, just make sure you don't mind having the majority of your palm on the desk.

I have never liked the mouse concept. The constant reaching and repositioning in order to move the pointer was a pain.
The new Anywhere MX has stopped all that. It has all the regular features we all expect plus it tracks fast and on any surface. I do mean any surface. That's where youi get much more convenience and less fooling saround with the tracking.
Nice feel. Fast scroll. Easy on and off. Nice travel case. Beautiful wireless convenience. Worth every penny.

This Product Is A No Brainer. You Just Put The Cd In And Follow Simple Instructions. If You Can Hook Up A Wired Mouse & Keboard You Can Hook Up This Product. I Was Skeptical Because I Have Never Heard Of Logitect. Man It's Precision And Accursey Are Astonishing.

Just got this. Buttons ARE programmable, though packaging does not make that apparent. Wanted dark field 'cause old mouse not tracking well on many surfaces, especially shiny ones. Dark field works as advertised. Even tried it on thin, clear glass and it tracked precisely. GREAT TRACKING EVEN ON SHINY SURFACES!
It's good that the scroll wheel has 2 modes; either free-rolling or notched. Free-rolling good for getting to end of pages, but glad to have the detents for better control.
Application switcher button is almost a little too convenient. You may hit it inadvertently while using the scroll wheel.
Very good mouse so far. Good feel, great performance.

Perhaps I'm too accustomed to my old Revolution VX (that I dropped one too many times), but the Anywhere Mouse feels too flat and small for comfortable use. As always with Logitech, it's a slick, high-quality, beautifiul mouse -- easy to set up, a delight to use. It's just not for me
So I'm switching to the Marathon M705 which appears closer in size and shape to my old VX.

I have owned this mouse for two years and up until a few weeks ago it performed flawlessly.
Unfortunately, the left button has become defective. A single-click of the button often translates to a double-click, which is very problematic. It makes it difficult to drag and drop, to select files, to work in 3d programs, etc. For example, single-clicking a file will cause it to open. Try to drag an icon by holding the button down and it'll often "let go" while you're still holding the button.
I do not know if Logitech has addressed this issue in newer revisions of the hardware, but because my mouse is still covered by the 3 year warranty, Logitech is sending a replacement.
When the mouse is working, it is perfect. It's comfortable to hold. The scrolling with the wheel is amazingly better than anything else. It's perfectly smooth and responsive. The tracking is also better than any other optical mouse I've tried, though admittedly, every mouse I've owned has been made by Logitech, so I cannot compare it to Microsoft or other mice.

This mouse has worked faithfully for 2 years now and works anyplace and with good speed. You need new batteries periodically but the laser is great and it fits VERY comfortably in the palm of your hand. It is by far my mouse of choice! Your hand doesn't get tired when holding it.

Absolutely love this mouse. I started using it at work and had to buy one for home. It works everywhere. My hand is very comfortable using it. The scrolling is smooth and the right/left buttons work perfectly. I really like the buttons by the thumb. I use them to go back and forward in my internet browser. I don't use the horizontal scroll very often because it is such a new feature I forget that it is there. I like being able to store the receiver in the mouse if I need to go somewhere and the supplied pouch protects the mouse perfectly. The software is easy to install and to use to change the buttons. It also displays battery status in the system tray which is helpful. The only thing I need is a reminder to turn it off when I am done using it. The green light doesn't stay on and so I forget to turn it off. Other than that, this mouse is definitely worth the price.

I usually only purchase Logitech equipment because of the quality of their products and how easy they are to use. I've had this mouse for about a year and a half and it's one of the better Logitech mouses that I've used. The buttons are laid out perfectly so they're all easy to reach and use while gaming and casual surfing. The only problem I've come across while using this mouse is trying to set the vertical scroll rate to the right level for me. Each app I use the mouse in interprets the settings differently so some skip blocks of pages at a time where others crawl unbelievably slow. That said I usually just deal with it cuz the apps that I have that problem in are not used all the time so its not a very big issue really. Really love the size of this mouse, so comfortable to use as my everyday mouse. Logitech always makes the best stuff!

Great freakin mouse! very durable and great battery life(especially with rechargables). wieght is perfect and size is great for hands of all sizes. buttons are set in the right spots and it is very ergonomically comfotable. the materials are comfortable to grip and use, the feet are super slick on any surface, even leather. no-slip when palms get sweaty and the two gear scroller is perfect for gaming. perfect mouse for everyday and more than casual gaming.

I use this mouse with every computer i own. the usb plug is small and is not noticeable when i put my laptop in its case. It is worth the money. My first one broke after several months and i explained the issue to logitech.
6 days later a new mouse was shipped to my location on express delivery!.
I forever will be a customer of logitech.

I truly love this mouse. One of the main reasons I bought it is my experience with previous models and the ability to reassign function of the various buttons. I was rather upset that I could no longer assign the "close program" function to the button behind the scroll wheel, as was possible in previous "MX" models! Then there is the fact that the scroll wheel is set up to act in reverse of the mouse I use on my Desktop PC, and you cannot change this reverse scroll action!!!!!!
