Been using the MK710 for nearly 3 years now. Have had absolutely no issue with them. Battery was excellent on both mouse and keyboard. I'm a heavy user and I game with this keybord and mouse. If I recalled correctly, I think I only have had to change the batteries in the KB once in the past 3 years, and may be 2 or 3 times for the mouse. Highly recommended.

Long-Time Logitech Customer: Pass on this one

Wave pattern takes a bit to get used to. I'm at the keyboard for many hours at a time for work, and I haven't noticed that the keyboard wave pattern adds any comfort benefit. In my opinion, the profile of the keys are too high. This causes strain on my fingers. Some of the keys are oddly placed, and you may make repetitive typos until you retrain yourself. Palm rest is nice, and the mouse is responsive. Big plus is that the keyboard and mouse have an on/off button and battery life, as usual for Logitech, is fantastic.
By the time I realized I truly dislike the design, feel and responsiveness of this keyboard, it was past the return period, or I would have shipped it back.

Left Click button problem
Date:February 2, 2013
i have the mk710 combo since august 2011, i use it for design mostly, but a few week ago i have this problem only with the mouse: when i click the left mouse button it makes two clicks or when i'm dragging something just drop it. This is very anoying when you are working. Another bad thing is the distance from the receiver that the keyboard need to function. A good thig is the confort for the hands when you are writing and with the mouse's shape.

I am on my second one in less than a year. The letters come off very quickly if you use it all day every day. They replaced the first one as it was under warrenty and within 2 months the letter are already coming off. For the price w/ mouse it is a waste of money. Would not recommend it at all.

After suffering through brand M and H, I FINALLY bought a Logitech mk710 wireless keyboard and mouse. This is a killer combo with my new desktop and I didn't even need the provided USB extender. Go for the gold with mk710 unit.

Keyboard too Mushy
Date:December 22, 2012
The only reason why I wouldn't recommend this to others is because of the keyboard. While the construction is good, the buttons are too mushy and aren't well separated from each other so you will make frequent typing errors. I do love the mouse though, but that can be purchased separately.

Another great product from Logitech
Date:November 3, 2012
The Logitech MK710 is another crowning achievement for Logitech's keyboard manufacturing and design. The keyboard is well laid out and the keys feel excellent on the tips of my fingers. The concaved keys (Logitech® Incurve keys™) almost grip the tip of your fingers making it very hard for your fingers to slip off the keys when your typing. They almost guide your fingers to the right keys. The palm rest is comfortable and is the just the right size. The overall aesthetics of the keyboard are very good. I love the rated battery life (3 years) and I really like the small transmitter for the mouse and keyboard. The foregoing stated, here are some of my knocks. If you have ever owned a Logitech Dinova keyboard, there is just no replacement for it. I am very sad that Logitech has discontinued it. The MK710 is a pale second in comparison to the Dinova simply because when I pay over a $100.00 for a keyboard I want said keyboard to look and feel like an expensive keyboard. Though the MK710 feels like an expensive keyboard as you’re typing on it, the overall fit and finish of the keyboard does not compare with the Dinova. Logitech should of backlit the LCD display so that it would be easier to see it in low light. They also missed out by not putting a touch pad (typical to a laptop’s touch pad) on it like the Dinova has. In the MK710’s defense, is It is hard to pay over $100 for any keyboard and not feel disappointed after owning a Dinova simply because there really is no close second for the Dinova. In conclusion, the reviewer of this post should consider that I am a student on a very small budget. (emphasis added) A $100.00 is a lot of money for me but I do so much typing on my computer that my keyboard is very, very important to me. One of my neighbors stole my Dinova and I will be forever sad that I cannot buy another, but until I do find one somewhere, the MK710 is about as good as it gets. Please do not allow my nit picking of the MK710 to dissuade you from buying one. The MK710 is a very good keyboard well worth your consideration, unfortunately it is just not a Dinova.

I usually have no difficulty adjusting to new keyboards but this keyboard's numbers are difficult to use. the zero is raised to about the same llevel as the palm rest which results in considerable difficulty in depressing the zero. I frequently make errors when usiing a zero due to this problem. I have finally decided to buy another keyboard to get back to my old level of effeciency. I am very dissapointed.

Disappointed, could be better
Date:August 30, 2012
The mouse is very small to be comfortable. the scroller actually rust after few months of use.
The comforter area of the keyboard is also small, it would be better if it's longer a little. Typing/gaming isn't always smooth (friction) when you press slightly off center of the key, probably due to the key mechanism of the keyboard.
Battery life depends on the usage and the battery you use. I can never achieve more than a year out of both keyboard and mouse.

Excelent product
Date:July 31, 2012
I had recently bought the Logitech Wireless Desktop MK710 and I am fully satisfyed with the product. The materials used are beautiful and seems to be resistent. The only "problem" is about the mouse performance, that is not SO responsive/sensible as my last one (Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000), but his design is awesome, fits perfectly in my hand, the option to use the scroll with "scales" or "free" (the wheel turns with no restrictions) helps a lot and the laser has a great response in most superficies (except glass, where it did not response). Can`t tell about the batteries life because I had caught the product today.
Product fully recommended.
Obs.: sorry about the bad english.

MK710 Combo
Date:July 9, 2012
I have never before had a wireless keyboard and mouse. After a detailed talk with a sales rep at Office Depot I took his recommendation and bought this MK710 combo. It is the best value and quality I've ever experienced. The keyboard is comfortable to use and seems like it was made just for me. The padded arm rest is just the right firmness and is soft. The mouse is flawless and neither the keyboard nor the mouse has missed a beat since I took it out of the box and set it up. I love the feature on the mouse that lets you scroll by clickes or my smooth multipage useage. This is the best purchase I've ever made for accessories for my computer.

on my desk!
I am an AA and I work at the office all day long, spending about 8 hours or more on the computer. The keyboard and mouse that the office supplies is not top notch quality and after doing some research, I decided that it would be good to give myself some level of comfort at my desk since I spend more time in the day at the office than at home! So yesterday after work, I went to BestBuy to "look" at the illuminated keyboard, and I had in mind a Logitech mouse that costed $100.
Thank goodness I did not order them online, because the mouse was huge and there is no way anyone could tell just by looking at the online photos on various websites!!
I ended up buying this combo because I tried it and the mouse felt perfect and the keyboard looked solid and silent. Plus I wanted to save money and this combo was only $80 at BestBuy (but $100 at Logitech).
I like it a lot and I can say so far so good. I read many reviews of people saying they hate the keyboard because of the keys, well let me tell you this: the keys are the best feature of the keyboard as well as the volume buttons. Typing is a breeze if you truly are a good typist, and the keys are like a silencer on a gun, you don't hear much. My colleague who sits across from me, about 4 meters away, cannot hear me typing now!! The previous keyboard that the office had given me was so noisy!
As for the mouse, let me put it this way: I consider it an investment in my health, as they say: prevention is better than cure. If you want to avoid carpel tunnel syndrome or getting RSI (repetitive strain injury) get a decent mouse. Logitech specializes in mice and keyboards so I trust them. With the money that I saved by not buying a keyboard and a separate mouse, I ended up offering myself the ipad3 ultra thin keyboard which I was coveting for some time now.. so I am doubly happy! That keyboard is a must if you have an ipad!

Love It!
Date:May 25, 2012
Logitech, I love you. I have been buying your products for several years now and have NO complaints on any of your products. The Mk 710 combo is in my opinion, simply awsome. The keyboard is the best I've ever typed with. I love the smooth quiet keys. The mouse is just as amazing as the 1100 rechargable that finally died on me. the M705 is just a little smaller than the 1100 but just as good. I can't say enough good about your products. I won't even consider buying another brand.

I am satisfied
Date:April 28, 2012
After a month of use I am already used to the keyboard, typing with no much mistakes. I can improve typing accuracy, I believe.
I never had an incident with keys pressed and not registered, as in my previous wireless - which is very important.
One thing I don't like is in the layout of keys. It was different that the one appeared in the box (that I would prefer). It has now a bigger enter key which is good but replicates |\ key in the left side aside to the left shift key and takes part of its size making shift key considerably smaller, which is very bad for blind typing. I find myself pressing \ instead of shift, many times. I cannot understand why Logitech made this layout change - especially when the \| key is found two times in the keyboard. This a very bad layout design change.

Sluggish Keys
Date:April 19, 2012
The MK700/710 is a brilliant keyboard in all aspects except the most important. The keys are built with the center post too small and as a result if you hit a key anywhere but dead center, they bind and many times don't register. I type for a living and this "feature" is very annoying. I have to go back and reedit every sentence. I've tried to correct my key stoke habits, but I still jam keys all the time. I will seek another brand after this keyboard wares out and I'm sure it will quickly from all the binding key strokes.

Awesome Customer Service
Date:March 7, 2012
I bought a MK700 two years ago. It has worked like a champ. Small learning curve with the new bells and whistles. Last week, I accidently knocked the mouse off my desktop and it was over. The 2 foot impact disabled the optics, I was dead. Then I inquired through Customer Service for a replacement mouse, which I learned is no longer available, I was devastated, I was not prepared to purchase a new combo. Then Customer Service (Dantley) sent me a MK710. I thought I was not going to survive the week (7 days) using an old keyboard and mouse. Surprisingly enough I did, strange how I have spoiled myself, what a difference the new technology makes. Thanks again :)

GREAT KEYBOARD AND MOUSE COMBO
Date:March 7, 2012
When I decided to go wireless, I considered a number of the excellent combos from Logitech and Microsoft. After extensive research and personal examination, I finally settled on the Logitech MK710. The deciding factors were the Logitech Marathon M705 Mouse and the extended battery life promised by the MK710 (up to three years). I had an earlier experience with a wireless mouse and was really frustrated by its voracious appetite for batteries. After some extensive use, here are my observations on the MK710. The MK710 combo is very attractive and well made. The setup of the unifying wireless system was simple and quick and without any problems. Because of problems reported in other reviews, I used the software downloaded from the Logitech website rather than that provided in the box. The keys of the MK700 keyboard are large and comfortable compared to the keyboard originally supplied with my computer. They are comfortable to both the touch typists in my family and to me, a hunt-and-peck typist. The touch typists especially like the padded palm rest. The stork-like legs supporting the back of the keyboard are actually quite sturdy and we are using them. The programmable function keys are a delight. Customizing these keys was quite simple using the software downloaded from Logitech. The media keys are also a welcome addition. The ability to control media functions from the keyboard is a real convenience as is the separate calculator key. The LCD display showing caps lock, etc. is not ideal, but is adequate given the need to minimize battery drain. The M705 mouse is truly marvelous. I actually bought the MK710 primarily because it was the only combo offering the M705. The size is perfect for my average-size hand. The five buttons and flexible scroll wheel offer every imaginable function at my very fingertips. All in all, I am extremely pleased with my purchase of the Logitech MK710 and would not hesitate recommending it to others.
