After a month of use I am already used to the keyboard, typing with no much mistakes. I can improve typing accuracy, I believe.
I never had an incident with keys pressed and not registered, as in my previous wireless - which is very important.
One thing I don't like is in the layout of keys. It was different that the one appeared in the box (that I would prefer). It has now a bigger enter key which is good but replicates |\ key in the left side aside to the left shift key and takes part of its size making shift key considerably smaller, which is very bad for blind typing. I find myself pressing \ instead of shift, many times. I cannot understand why Logitech made this layout change - especially when the \| key is found two times in the keyboard. This a very bad layout design change.

The MK700/710 is a brilliant keyboard in all aspects except the most important. The keys are built with the center post too small and as a result if you hit a key anywhere but dead center, they bind and many times don't register. I type for a living and this "feature" is very annoying. I have to go back and reedit every sentence. I've tried to correct my key stoke habits, but I still jam keys all the time. I will seek another brand after this keyboard wares out and I'm sure it will quickly from all the binding key strokes.

I bought a MK700 two years ago. It has worked like a champ. Small learning curve with the new bells and whistles. Last week, I accidently knocked the mouse off my desktop and it was over. The 2 foot impact disabled the optics, I was dead. Then I inquired through Customer Service for a replacement mouse, which I learned is no longer available, I was devastated, I was not prepared to purchase a new combo. Then Customer Service (Dantley) sent me a MK710. I thought I was not going to survive the week (7 days) using an old keyboard and mouse. Surprisingly enough I did, strange how I have spoiled myself, what a difference the new technology makes. Thanks again :)

When I decided to go wireless, I considered a number of the excellent combos from Logitech and Microsoft. After extensive research and personal examination, I finally settled on the Logitech MK710. The deciding factors were the Logitech Marathon M705 Mouse and the extended battery life promised by the MK710 (up to three years). I had an earlier experience with a wireless mouse and was really frustrated by its voracious appetite for batteries. After some extensive use, here are my observations on the MK710. The MK710 combo is very attractive and well made. The setup of the unifying wireless system was simple and quick and without any problems. Because of problems reported in other reviews, I used the software downloaded from the Logitech website rather than that provided in the box. The keys of the MK700 keyboard are large and comfortable compared to the keyboard originally supplied with my computer. They are comfortable to both the touch typists in my family and to me, a hunt-and-peck typist. The touch typists especially like the padded palm rest. The stork-like legs supporting the back of the keyboard are actually quite sturdy and we are using them. The programmable function keys are a delight. Customizing these keys was quite simple using the software downloaded from Logitech. The media keys are also a welcome addition. The ability to control media functions from the keyboard is a real convenience as is the separate calculator key. The LCD display showing caps lock, etc. is not ideal, but is adequate given the need to minimize battery drain. The M705 mouse is truly marvelous. I actually bought the MK710 primarily because it was the only combo offering the M705. The size is perfect for my average-size hand. The five buttons and flexible scroll wheel offer every imaginable function at my very fingertips. All in all, I am extremely pleased with my purchase of the Logitech MK710 and would not hesitate recommending it to others.

I can definitely say both the mouse and keyboard fits your hand. The option button for mouse scroll wheel is great (smooth-stepped). Power consumption is excellent so far. Wish the function keys are much larger, but it became the trend in keyboards these days. If you are not using the computer for just fun, this might be the best available combo for you.

I am a desktop tech so I am constantly working between my machine and others that I'm repairing at my desk so a wireless keybard & mouse was a must for me. I didn't want anything crazy expensive but then again I didn't want a standard keyboard and mouse. I already own the MX5000 desktop set and am very happy with it for home, but I felt that a lot of the features were just eyecandy and I didn't find myself using features like the media controls all that much. When I went to buy a desktop set for my new job I wanted something simple, but still had the features I did use like the quick scroll wheel and the back/forward browser buttons on the mouse. I also knew I wanted Logitech's Unifying reciever, to avoid having more than one dongle if I ever wanted to add or replace a device.
The keyboard is really what sold me. I've used all types of keyboards and mice and for me I am most comfortable with a straight keyboard. No curve, or "ergonimic" split which I hate. I like the simplicity of it while still offering many "luxury" features like the wrist rest and the calculator key. I also like the LCD screen, even though it is pretty much used for letting you know which mode the keyboard is in (Capslock, Numlock, Fn, etc.) it just adds a little more to make it not so basic looking. I do a fare amount of typing and enjoy the feel of the keys. They are smooth and rounded off at the edges. You don't really appreciate this until you start using a keyboard that has edges on the keys. I can also say that my WPM has increased dramaticaly and while I can't directly attribute this to the keyboard I can say it didn't hurt and I notice I don't type as fast when using another keyboard.
The mouse also was what I was looking for, after coming from the MX5000 mouse I had high expectations as to what I want, and I think that the mouse with the MK710 set is on par with it. The mouse is comfortable in the hand and has a good wieght to it. The buttons features of the mouse should be an industry standard. Features like the toggling scroll wheel to switch between selected scroll (3 lines at a time for me but can be adjustable to just about any amount I believe) and the excellarated scroll which is pretty much a free spin of the wheel to zip through long documets and pages quickly. The scroll wheel also supprts lateral (left & right) scrolling and can be adjusted in the same manner as the selected scroll. The thumb groove makes the mouse very comfortable for right handed users, lefties are out of luch I'm afraid. (My co-worker is a lefty and hates my mouse, mostly because I have an eccelerated cursor though.) The Browser back/forward buttons are handy as well. All the buttons on the mouse can be customized to perform a different mouse button or even a keyboard combination. The thumb groove hides the Windows Flip button for Win7 which I use frequently and makes it much more convient to scroll through my open applications.
Over all for the money I would say this is an awesome desktop set, all the features you need to "get're done" and nothing you don't. Keep in mind the reason I am giving this desktop set 5 stars is because for the money I don't think you can find a better one. There are probably nicer, better keyboard & mouse stes but for $100+. I really can't find a flaw in this set. Also note that I have been using this keyboard for a year now and have not had to do anything with the batteries since installing them after opening the box!

I LOVE Logitech. I bought the first ever wireless mouse that came out and have always used them. I had the Wave style Keyboard, which is Ergonomic and I loved it, but it died, so I had to get a new one. I used it so much that the letters were worn off the keys.
I found this combo and thought it was the new innovation. I am disappointed in the keyboard. I have trouble with my fingernails hitting 2 of the keys at the same time. The keys are low, and very close to each other. I have to proof all my typing to make sure I don't have any typos. I would not recommend this keyboard or buy it again.
BUT I love the new smaller mouse and its ease of use. I definitely would recommend it and buy it again!

Great comfy keyboard. The keys have a pleasant rebound to them, unlike the traditional keyboard which has a rough spring pop everytime a key is pressed. Very comfortable keyboard with the cushioned pad. Comfortable gaming keyboard too. Havent had it cut out yet, unlike my old wireless mk250 setup. Mouse is very comfortable and moves smoothly on any surface. Pickups trace on many surfaces that my previous mouse didnt. Very comfortable and a pleasure to use. The forward/back buttons are brilliant for web browsing. I'm very happy with my purchase so far!

I have a wrist injury (My wrist is fused, no movement in any direction) that prevents me for typing comfortably and accurately with normal keyboards without the associated pain and mistakes while typing. The new design of these keys make typing far more accurate and less strain in my wrist due to the cushioned resting pad.
The key spacing is perfect for my finger size, and being a person that type 99% of the workday, I find it incredibly user friendly, easy to type, accurate, and very nice looking and feeling.
I also have the wireless back-lit keyboard with the same key design and I love them both, but my favorite is the back-lit keyboard, same design touch and feel, but the key lighting really adds to it.

I LOVE the mouse and will always try to replicate its freewheeling feature on future ones. The keyboard, while attractive, responsive and reliable, seems to have the keys too close together. Actually, the tops of the keys are larger so there is little space between them. This causes me lots of typos and frustration. I've had it for about 6-7 months and still am not used to it. I can't find any other keyboard with this 'feature'. Admittedly I'm no speed demon on any keyboard, but I just seem to make more mistakes on this one. Other than that, I have to give it 5 stars all around.

The mouse is GREAT, the keyboard ... well OUCH. This keyboard is a prime example of more $$$ doesn't necessarily mean better. The use of it strained my arms, wrists and hands because the letters were constantly "catching". This is not a typist's keyboard. After struggling through for a few months I finally dumped it and got another! Leaving my purchase as the most expensive mouse ever!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't buy this!

I recently bought the MX5500 and was disappointed with that on many levels. The superfluous LCD screen, flimsy feet, integrated calculator, Bluetooth Mouse LAG as well as the seemingly lack of apparently quality. I could go on with the 5500's flaws. I returned that and exchanged it for the MK710. Although this set retails for less than the MX5500 I feel it is of much better quality. LCD indicators for real needs. No more mouse LAG when it is critical (Games). The keyboard feels luxurious to type with the padded palm rest IS actually padded unlike the 5500 and the mouse is .. just right. You can freewheel the scroll or use the locking button for traditional rumble scrolling. Two BIG features: 1. Extended battery life. When you look at SetPoint with new batteries for the mouse, it indicates 1095 days of life remaining. WOW. Although, there isn't a similar indicator for the KB. 2. Why did it take so long for someone to finally put a DVD drive eject button on a KB? What a nice touch!
In a nutshell, avoid the MX5500 and head straight for this one. a Big Thumbs UP Logitech!

I bought this setup on the 14th and love it but the mouse would take up to a minute to sync at times which is a little annoying but no biggie. On the 19th I started setting up the Unifying thing and since that point my mouse has not worked at all!!! 5 days! Keyboard is great but I was starting to enjoy all the features that mouse has and oh well.

I suggest that you look closely and even try one before you buy. The extra rounded edges of the keys and ungenerous depressions on each key, make this a difficult kb for those that actually touch-type. I am constantly fumbling my typing - even right now due to the vagary created by the rounded edges.

Well I have had a Logitech Speaker System for 4 years and it still Roars! I was not interested in the wireless aspects of the Logitech MK710 bundle as I was in the quality because I had recently purchased a new HP Desktop that was really fast with a Quad Phenom and 10GB of RAM but the mouse and keyboard were just cheaply made. As I got familiar with the new computer I loved and was amazed at the speed and the LightScribe feature was almost cool enough for me to overlook the very poor Keyboard and Mouse. But it wasn't...
So I went to Best Buy and Office Depot to check out what after market options were available. Logitech was recommended and highly rated to me by both of these major retailers.
I ended up buying the MK710 online from Logitech because the price was very competitive and they offered free 2 day shipping.
It is not a perfect system but it is good enough that I am buying another one. I don't even know what they mean by the Incurve Keys because they really just feel like my HP laptop. However they do have a very consistant feel and they have never missed a single letter or keystroke!
Now the mouse has an absolutely solid and heavy feel which is excellent compared to even top end gaming mice. It is so easy to set up and adjust however it just does not always move with you.
The mouse wheel itself sets a stamdard that others simply envy rather than even try to replicate and the software that controls it is so intuitive to adjust to your desires...
But as great as the mouse feels in your hand and although it is extremely accurate, it is not dependable a lot of the time. I find myself having to pick it up and set it back down to access many parts of a web page or especially programs like Microsoft Word, Excel or Power Point.
If it seems like I'm complaining, I'm really just whining a little because this package is really really good! I have shown it to most of my friends and had them feel it: it would take way to much space do describe the soft yet perfect keystrokes of the keyboard and that Mouse!
I would buy the keyboard just to get this mouse! Yes, it refuses to respomd sometimes but when you hold it it's truly like an extension of your very hand! Yes, it is that good!
So since I am ordering two more means I must like the total package, and that does not even take into account the crazy battery life of up to 3 years!

I love Logitech. I just want to say that before I go into my review. This combo is a lot like it's predecessor. Over all I like it a lot but My issue is with the mouse. The sensor on the bottom is on the right side of the mouse. For me, this causes it to take a different track than with one that is in the middle. Because of this I was very disappointed in the mouse. That said the unity receivers are genius. Try before you buy if you can...
