This is one great KB for the price, if your getting it for an 8 year old. And it's one rugged little piece of equipment as well, and takes the punishment all in stride. It's dropped at least 40 times a day, and well as being stepped on and what not. The best part about it is that it takes the spills - Yes that's right you read it - SPILLS, any and all that my son can dish at it. From Milk to Kool-aid to Water - what ever it is, it can be cleaned up over and over and ready use again. Thanks Logitech for one "GREAT" piece of equipment

This keyboard is of great quality, especially for the price. The feedback of keypresses is nice and it makes a decent noise when you press the keys. It has the standard key layout and nothing more.
It seems quite durable. I spilled nearly an entire can of soda onto it, I unplugged it and rinsed it out completely with water so it wouldn't get sticky. I let it dry out before I plugged it back in and it still works perfectly.
A great basic keyboard. Would buy again.

I have two of these K120 keyboards and have been using them for about two years. I have been very satisfied with them.
The K120 is a traditionally laid out, clearly labeled, no-nonsense wired keyboard for a low price. The labels are bright white, the keys are where you expect them to be, with no re-jiggering of the cursor keypad or the numeric keypad. A nub on the J and F keys helps a touch typist find "home" quickly.
The most important thing is how well you can type on it. Well, I'm pleased to report that the K120 responds as well as any keyboard I've ever used. There's just enough spring and tactile feedback, and no loud "clack". The keyboard feels solid under my fingers, and is small enough to fit neatly in a cluttered work environment; it doesn't have a huge wrist board or stupid curvature that afflicts some other keyboards.
Although Logitech has marketed several other keyboards with rearranged keys, somebody there decided to go back to their roots and came up with this winner.
I have tried wireless keyboards to reduce the wire clutter on my desk, but they inevitably begin to have problems like dropping keystrokes or strangely repeating letters or disconnecting from the receiver. Just not worth it to me. So I went back to basics with the K120 and have been very satisfied. When (and if) these keyboards ever wear out, which they show no signs of doing yet, I'll be picking up another one.
Could it be better? For $14.95 I wouldn't expect any more features, but I hope Logitech expands the product line to include a $24.95 model with specialized function keys for browsing, email, volume, etc. Not a necessity at all, but nice to have.

I am very pleased with the K120 keyboard I purchased for my laptop. I learned touch typing in the 1970's and the laptop keyboards just do not cut it. I tried for 2 months, but kept sliding off the flat surface keys--could not center my fingers without the "dip" so this is great for more accuracy. The keyboard also overrides some pre-programmed function keys on the laptop which is great since I am a WordPerfect person and rely on certain shortcuts on the function keys.
My only grip is that the feet are basically worthless--just too short and do not raise the back edge up high enough for true touch typing. Logitech, would it be so expensive to have 2 sets of feet offering 2 heights?? I also miss a feature of my old Gateway PC--programmable keys down the left side. I had one set to open the calculator and another for MyDocuments--great time savers. Otherwise, it functions fine as does the mouse (I purchased the combo set). I really missed the scroll wheel for those first 2 months on the laptop.

High quality, great keyboard. I'm currently using it for gaming and it's perfect. I spilled some milk on it, and after a quick wipedown, it was still going. It sounds nice, it's not too clacky. My school uses these keyboards too, and they're amazing, especially for being under the 20 dollar mark. This keyboard also looks great. I've tested it on Windows 7, openSUSE 12, and Ubuntu 11.10 and it works perfectly.

Horrible Cheap Design
I bought the K120 for use in an admin office setting. One of the legs on the keyboard broke in less than a week. Couldnt find a replacement part, so I glued it in a fixed position, only to have it break again. I'm starting to see a trend with Logitech products. Looks nice, built cheap. Dont waste your money on the K120.

I bought this keyboard for $11 after I spent entirely too much money building my desktop and buying a monitor and only wanted something to hold me over until I could afford a nice gaming keyboard. Well, it's been a couple of years, and I'm still using it.
I admit that I long for illuminated keys and mechanical switches, but I've spilled milk on this keyboard repeatedly and rinsed it out in the sink (don't want it smelling like sour milk!); leave it to sit and dry before I plug it back in, and it works again, no problem. It stands up to so much abuse, and it works well. Really, I couldn't ask for anything more from my $11 keyboard.

I wanted a keyboard that works on PC and MAC but did not want to spend too much. I mainly bought this for my Windows Laptop but hooked it up to MAC and its working fine. If you are looking for a basic keyboard that works on both this is the one. Bought it from Staples for $16

I'm an everyday computer user, so a good keyboard that just works is what I needed, and I found it! The Logitech K120 is great for both work and play. I check my emails everyday, browse the web, check the news, simple everyday computer usage and this keyboard just works (in a good way). It's easy to type, F and J keys are easy to find in low light because of the emboss on the keys. I have my computer in the bedroom, so this was perfect for when my girlfriend sleeps because the keys are much quieter than my old keyboard, which sounded like someone was dancing on our hardwood floors.
Functionality is lacking, but you get what you pay for; no shortcut keys like web, my computer, etc. but when I did have a keyboard like that I never used them anyway.
I'm also a gamer when I'm not working. WASD keys work very well; no problems with holding Shift+W or other holding/pressing combinations.
I would recommend this to anyone just looking for a cheap, but good keyboard.
Pros: quiet, usable, good for gaming sessions Cons: no shortcut buttons

The K120 replaced my old Microsoft multimedia keyboard, which I found ugly and silly with its extra buttons. I really appreciate the combination of minimalism with durability found in the K120. Too often, consumer electronics are not durable in the least, but are graded only by their number of features. Finally, a product that just gets the job done and will do it for years! I was stunned by the price as well. I prefer modest technology like this.

My Dell keyboard space bar started squeaking so I replaced it with this. Inexpensive, soft touch. My only question is what is the purpose of the A and the down arrow under the K120? The instructions basically just told you to plug it in. Anyway nice keyboard.

As an independent professional who buys his own equipment, I needed a “wired” keyboard (no batteries) designed for heavy use and low error rate. Cost was not an issue at all. After much searching, finally I found this K120. This is a no-frills keyboard that works very well and is clearly designed for real-world use rather than showroom looks and sales gimmicks. The keys are sized and shaped for low error rate, are very quiet, and have the right amount of compression so as not to be fatiguing. The very readable lettering is very much appreciated, especially when working late at night. I also like its compactness. Thanks to the engineers at Logitech who designed this. Good job!

I'm 70 yrs old and eyesight poor so this great keyboard was just what I was looking for. I saw a white keyboard with big keys (not Logitech) that might serve the purpose but the number keys on the right side were gone so...
The keys are quiet and easy to manipulate and there are three levels of lighting you can choose from.
The only negative I find is there is no light on the space bar but it's a minor complaint. Maybe next version?
The 3 yr warranty is nice too. Hope I don't have to use it. Been using Logitech wireless mice for years.
