great controller

Date:August 16, 2012
I've had this over a year now. Used nearly every day, for both mouse control and gaming. Never had a problem. I don't use the profile software that Logitech bundles as it's not as good as xpadder. The main con I have is the profile software.

Best Gamepad ever used!

Date:June 15, 2012
I have used lots of gamepads, PS2, PS, Xbox 360, PS3. By then, I thought all controllers worked the same, and I believed the best gamepad was the Xbox 360's. But when I bought this one, used it. It was perfect! Even better than what I thought was unimprovable. By far, the best gamepad I ever used. It's simply second to none, and it's really precise.
Mainly, I play FIFA 12. Previously, I used a gamepad (generic and wireless) that worked well, but then the X broke, and I tried to fix it but I broke it completely. So, I bought this Logitech because I was tired of changing batteries once a month and wanted a really solid unit that doesn't break down easily.
It's precise, solid, good looking, good feeling. It's awesome.
If you're between this one and the Xbox 360, choose the F510, I have used both and the Logitech is way better.

Very Great Controller

Date:May 10, 2012
This is a fantastic controller, even compared to the Xbox 360 controller. I've had mine for about 9 months now and it's been awesome for me. When you press the buttons, it actually feels like you're pressing them, and they're sensitive, but not too sensitive, which is a great balance. The controller itself is also amazingly comfortable and adaptable, especially with the mode button which allows you to switch from your D-pad (which is especially great for classic 2-D gaming, and your Left Analog Stick, which is great for everything else. The rumble feature is nice too, definitely keeps you awake. Honestly though, I sometimes mistake it for the Start button and it surprises me, but you learn to adjust to that over time.
I did notice over time, the LT and RT buttons have a possibility of getting "loose" to a point where they will work only 75% of the time. I feel this could be caused by pressing them too hard, so be careful with that. One flaw indeed though is the cord, more often so if you're someone who always plays directly in front of the PC. The cord in general holds up pretty well, but like most controllers I've used, if you accidentally tug it enough, you might split it between the cord and the top of the controller, which will eventually just make it stop working overall in the end. What's really good about Logitech though is their 1-year warranty, which I highly recommend making use of should you get in that situation.
Overall, if you take good care of the controller, it'll last you for a pretty long time, and I highly recommend it to most kinds of players.

My New Favorite Game Pad

Date:March 2, 2012
I've never liked mouse pad gaming, and I like both Xbox and PS3 controllers, I just don't like the Xbox system. But I've had this pad for nine months and not a single complaint. I don't see what people are complaining about with the LT and RT buttons, I hardly noticed the recoil. A minor complaint, sometimes, when I'm trying for a take down in Deus ex: HR, I press and release the B button, but either it doesn't register or I end up killing them instead of knocking them out. (Frustrating when you're trying for the pacifist achievement). However, I've only noticed this a couple of times so it might just be operator error. It only happens in Deus ex too, never on LFD2 or the Darkness II or Call of duty. Also the rumble feature in combination with the Icarus landing system, just makes the Icarus landing system 10x more awesome than it is without the rumble.

It will break

Date:February 28, 2012
I got this to go with my new Alienware, for the first month it worked great I could play all types of games with ease but after that it just stopped working. I tried it on multiple computers and nothing. I am very upset with this product and would never buy it again.

Wave of the Future

Date:February 10, 2012
The Rumble Pad is an excelent standard game pad. It caters fantastically to those who have played game box systems. It brings your PC into the gamming world in a very recognisable way. However, where the product falls short is in the software department. The software does permit individual button assignment but it is not smooth or strait forward. I eventually found an excelent replacement program that worked much more smoothly with the game pad. Over all the hardware is superb and exactly what I have come to expect from Logitech and why I own so many of their products. I highly recomend this product for any beginner PC gamer.
As an additional note I would like to add that all current game pads are missing out on a major market, namely the MMORPG market. No game pad has yet been designed to accomodate the extra functions that an MMORPG has to offer. For example: Current game pads all have a 4 x 4 button set up on the top of the pad (4 buttons on right and a D-pad on the left). The standard MMORPG offers 12 (or more) top buttons to use with Shift, Alt, & Ctrl commands AND mouse controls. A thrid trigger on each side would be nice and a new 6 x 6 button set up would start comming close to fitting the bill for an MMO game pad. ALL modern game pads lack a sufficient quantity of buttons to fill the demand of MMORPG's. I would like to see Logitech spearhead the developement of a new MMORPG game pad that catered to the online MMO player. I also want Logitech to look into improving their software to be more generic and easy to use. As of this review absolutely NO ONE makes an MMORPG game pad (hint, hint). And I would LOVE to test one if anyone ever does make one (hint, hint).

Excellent Controller, Great Purchase!

Date:September 27, 2011
If you're looking to buy a good gamepad at an affordable price from a trusted brand, then this gamepad is for you. Why is this gamepad for you?
It's a reasonable price while other controllers will run you well over the price that they're asking for this one. Sure, this is a corded version but if you're sitting at your PC playing games then there's really no reason to deal with some of the reception issues the wireless one has been having. Plus no annoying nano-receiver to deal with, just plug and play.
All of the buttons on the Rumblepad are easy to press -- the only thing you may notice when using it is the L2 and R2 buttons have a bit of a "bounce back" feel to them, meaning that when you press them down they are ready to come back up immediately. This may bother you at first but you eventually get adjusted to it. The rest of the buttons are smooth and easy to press and all the buttons are placed on the controller well enough that it should be very familiar to anyone who's played with a PS2 controller before. You even have a "vibration" button so you're not stuck configuring how little/how much vibration you'd like within the game.
As for the way the gamepad feels -- it feels VERY nice in your hands. It's smooth and while you do notice the rubber grips on the controller it's not so much that it becomes annoying and over obvious like other gamepads.
Lastly, it's wonderful that there's a gamepad that has great Windows 7 support and you don't need to install any meaningless software to use the gamepad. In most cases you simply need to plug it into your USB port and it's ready to go -- otherwise you can always find a simple solution to the problem.
Overall? I rate this as the best gamepad Logitech has to offer at the moment. Once again, it's corded, BUT you don't need to worry about bad signal reception or interference from other things like you would with the wireless one. They're both identical except that the other is wireless, you can even compare the specifications on both. :)
Great gamepad, great price, and great brand.

high quality product

Date:June 8, 2011
well the truth is,there is nothing wrong with this gamepad, otherwise it's more better than rumblepad2 why?for it's look like combination between xbox 360 controller and ps 3 controller LOL.For you who like playing in pc or maniac PC gamers, may I recommended to use this gamepad :D.BUT!! every product have a weakness! for example: xbox 360 controller the weakness is about ring of light.IF the ring of light is not respond anymore,it could be broken. But according to me this product have a weakness too.Do you know what about this? it's about LT RT,Yes the trigger.both of them are hard to press it.well it's not hard as usual.maybe if you have habit to use this product. It's okay than.I suggested this controller is very well to play in PC.thx :D
