I travel quite a bit and was looking for inexpensive speakers to use with my laptop, without a lot of hassle. This little item fits the bill perfectly! If the sound was like my high end speakers at home, I would give them a perfect rating. But this little item is more, way more than adequate for my needs and far less expensive ($40 at Target) than a JamBox at $200! Well done Logitech!!!

Bought these yesterday at Target since there was a price cut. Was anxious to hear how good they are. They suprised me. For a pair of USB Speakers they sound pretty decent. I'm a bit of a basshead, but these do fine, it's not super bassy but it's good enough. Great for college students and on the go users.

i just got mine today. wow this little speaker is great. when it is on, u can hear it all over the house. i think everyone with a laptop should consider this a must have. i give it 2 thumbs up!!!!

I've had this sound bar for a couple months now, and it is absolutely fantastic. I'm consistently impressed with Logitech products and this speaker is no exception.
My laptop's speakers are pitifully weak and low-quality, and this speaker was the perfect fix. It's louder at 33% volume than my speakers alone at 100%, and I can hear music clearly from a few rooms away. The quality is good, and while it's not a 5.1 system, it does surround sound well. It's so easy to use: clip it on the laptop frame (or even just sit it on the table next to you), plug it in and you're good to go. It fits on my laptop well, despite my webcam frame which sticks out more from the rest. The volume controls on top are handy, and there is a built-in "track" on the bottom where the cord can be neatly stored. With the speaker attached to my laptop's lid, the cord reaches about 2/3 of the way up the side. The only problem you would face is if your USB ports are all at the front of your laptop.
I got this speaker bar during a great sale, but would gladly pay full price for it. I would recommend this to anyone, as it's sure to make any laptop sound better.

as soon i got this item i loved it my laptop speaker were extremely weak but when i plugged in this product i was amazed the sound quality makes you feel your sitting in the movie theaters. I LOVE THIS ITEM

I have looked at other small, streamlined speaker systems for laptops and this is the best. The 3-D sound is incredible and makes movies worth watching on a laptop. Highly recommend.

The main way we watch TV in our house is with our laptop. The built-in speakers just aren't loud enough sometimes. We've used other speakers that plug in through the headphone jack but you always heave to sit some place that will be within reach of a short power cord. This speaker bar addresses all our needs. It increases the volume substantially, the sound is surprisingly good for how cheap it is, there are no cords that plug in to the wall so you can put the laptop wherever, and since it hangs on the back of the screen you don't have to worry about finding a hard surface for speakers to stand on.
I never leave reviews. But I had to for this product. I'm the type of person that ALWAYS suffers from buyers remorse. But I am 110% satisfied with this purchase.

It is what it is - a great speaker for a laptop. I needed something to put out more sounds than the built in speakers of my 5 year old laptop. This does the job just fine!!! It's lightweight, easy to connect, attaches to the laptop and has made a SUPER change in listening to music on the laptop. I often have it next to me on the couch instead of on the laptop - just really awesome accessory.

In every category of speakers, there are great sets and then there is the one that sets the standard. The Z305 easily sits right up there in it's category by far.. amazing sound engineering and design for aesthetics, useability and value!
Clean sound, clean looks!
The only thing is the short USB cable; if you plan to get one, take note that the USB cable is approximately 19 inches and a bit (about 50cm). It should fit almost all laptops unless the USB port is at the extreme front of the sides, or right at the front. My USB ports are on the sides of my laptop nearer the front and I've no issue here.
Do remember this set is meant to improve on your built-in speakers and is USB powered so don't expect thumping bass. But it is amazing enough as it is, both for music and movies.
Technical specs tell half of the story, what's really important is to do a sound test by listening to the product yourself.
Very, very happy with my purchase. No regrets whatsoever.. in fact, I'm planning on getting a couple more as gifts!

This is not a high end audio solution for your laptop -- it is exactly what Logitech claims it is - a portable solution to improved sound for laptops, and an excellent alternative to stock laptop internal speakers. The 360 surround sound works fine and the unit does actually produce a feeling of space in the sound stage, which I totally did not expect from a unit of this size.
Bass is understandably weak, mid-range is a tad muddy, but treble is fine for a speaker system of this size and nature. Remember, this isn't a 5.1 system -- it's a bar to replace the low quality of sound produced by laptops - and given that target, this is an excellent product.
Installation was an absolute breeze -- it couldn't have been easier. You literally just plug it in, the device is recognized, and it just starts to work.
It is heavy - so if your laptop has weak screen hinges, you will find it pulls back the screen. But -- you can clamp it to the side of your screen or even lay it on the desk (or other flat surface you happen to be working off of) and get virtually the same performance.
Well done, Logitech, in coming out with another excellent niche product.

I purchased this speaker for its portability, price, and features. Originally I was going to get the Z515 but I didn't like the idea of recharging a speaker and I was always going to use the speaker with my laptop anyway so a USB hookup was the best choice for me. Needless to say, when I received my Z305 I immediately tested with a movie and was taken aback by the clear crisp quality of this speaker. This little speaker is like the portable equivalent to theater surround sound! So if you're like me and love to stream movies from your laptop, get the Z305 for the ultimate experience you won't regret.

I LOVE this powerful little speaker! I needed a speaker to boost the volume [my bad hearing] on my new laptop. I'd read a review that said this one gives more volume than most and I paid attention but I was totally in love with the design style anyway! Love the 360 all around sound and that it's a tube not two seperate speakers! Love that it clips on for saving space. Love the sound from it and volume capability. It's just so cool and stylish. I highly recommend it, I'm thrilled with my purchase! Way to go Logitech!

I just came from presenting a training class which was held in a very large meeting room. I had taken the speaker with me for my counter-part to try. Needless to say he loved the unit and before the end of the week he also ordered one.

This speaker is definitely superior to all other speaker options available for laptops! Not only is it very streamlined and unobtrusive, the magnitude of the sound quality and volume is superb! If you are looking for laptop speakers, go with this one. Not only is the surround sound awesome, but the bass and volume are great for the size of the speaker. No batteries or software needed... just plug it into your USB port and prepare to be blasted away!

The Z305 is a near-ideal combination of portability and excellent sound. It's almost as convenient to use as a notebook PC's built-in speakers--of course, it cannot be exactly as convenient unless it is built-in itself--yet its sound is superior to built-in speakers and rivals some desktop separate speakers. The speakerbar design--each channel located at either end of a 12" bar--optimizes stereo separation for a 1-piece speaker. The sound is open and without significant distortion. Its bass is decent and very creditable for a 1-piece design with no separate woofers or subwoofers; of course, such a design is inherently limited in the quality and volume of bass produced. Almost as a bonus, the volume produced by the Z305 is much higher than the stock speakers in my Dell Z305 and easily fills a 20'x20' room. I strongly recommend the Z305 for anyone needing a replacement for their notebook built-in speakers or wanting a significant upgrade in sound quality or volume.

These Speakers are amazing for their size. They are plug n play up and running in less than 30 seconds with windows 7. Love the fact there are no batteries to buy as well. Once again Logitech has out done them selves with a quality product.
