Excellent cameras, systems & CUSTOMER SERVICE too!

I was very pleased and surprised to have received a very nice message from the product manager! He left his phone number, I called him but he was in a loud room so he changed his location and called me back. We discussed my observations and suggestions and he informed me that several of them were identified just after the first of this year and are already being addressed as I write this review. The product manager is very committed to the continual improvement of the customer service, firmware, hardware, software, smartphone and web interfaces. He and his team take customer feedback and service very seriously and implement improvements ASAP.
I HIGHLY recommend adding the two low cost optional premium services (Logitech Alert Mobile Commander and Logitech Alert Web Commander) which move the system from being 'just' great, to becoming FANTASTIC by adding many useful features! You can see a comparison of these premium services on their website. Each service is a great value for just $79.95 per year!
For security purposes, I also highly recommend logging onto the Logitech Alert Web Commander using https instead of http, wherever possible.
The product manager is looking into two small observations I've made, 1) there is sometimes a little MMS latency and 2) the field of view appears to be less than 132 degrees. He says he will get back with me after he receives a response from engineering.
Just go ahead and BUY THIS SYSTEM!

Review 2 for Logitech Alert™ 3 Outdoor Camera System with Alert™ Web and Mobile Commander Bundle

I had tried a cheaper system from Uniden, which turned out to be high-order garbage. I was a little skittish to try another system, so soon, but Logitech generally has good products.
6 cameras later (one indoor, 5 outdoor) the system is up and running solidly for two weeks, 24/7. One camera had to have its power cycled once yesterday, but no other glitches.
Motion sensitivity started out too high, but when reduced to about 1/4 full scale most of the noise alerts vanished while a person walking through the frame was readily detected.
The system has some sensitivity to large illumination changes, so there is typically a small cluster of alerts around dusk/dawn, and clouds coming and going in front of the sun will also generate some alerts, but they are quickly identified via the alert emails.
System is attached to a wireless "N" network access point, which in turn connects to gigabit ethernet and then to a cable network docsis-3 cable-modem.
Time lag from camera to internet monitoring is only about 3-4 seconds.
