Good sound with a small footprint

I use these speakers on my home desktop primarily for classical music from radio, videos, downloads, and cds. They provide decent sound with good clarity. They are not, of course, audiophile quality sound reproducers but they are very competent and deliver good bang for the buck in a small package. I have them plugged into a powered usb port station so no extra power cable complicating things under the desk. They lack adjustability (treble, bass, balance, equalizer) but that's only a minor concern in this setting. I am very pleased with these speakers.

Just needed a pair of speakers to plug my ipod into and I'm not disappointed at all. If you blast them they won't last if you respect them and listen moderately they sound very nice on a varietry of music. Vocals and instruments sound clear and natural, surprisingly the metallic cones aren't too bright.

I Bought These speakers, trying to get a great buy, and i succeeded. these are the best speakers for under 200$. if you need speakers, get these.

Included with my desktop 2 years ago were a set of generic speakers that also use USB for power and the 3.5 speaker plug for audio, but they were bulky, the cord linking them together was too long, and the power and audio cables were encased together in a shared insulation skin, making it barely reach between the 2 ports to plug them in.
After I saw these on the website, I purchased them the next day at my local elec. store. These speakers save space, the cord linking them together is just long enough to reach across the desk so it doesn't hang off the back of the desk, and the usb power cord and 3.5 audio cord are 2 completely separate cords.
I am now waiting for a set of speakers that use an internal rechargable battery and the Unifying receiver, similar to the K800 Wireless Illuminated Keyboard.

Small and well thought of design. uses power through USB port, so makes it convenient and portable. excellent sound clarity.
