Pros: Feels great around the head overall Sound quality is excellent in listening and talking No static noise if there's nothing running between music tracks Great product overall
Cons: USB plugin can be too flimsy if not cautious about it on your head Personal: I keep forgetting when I have the mute on or off since the control hangs facing away from me Wire length can become troublesome
I've had this product for about two years, and only replaced it twice due to my own error which was the main con, the USB plugin's durability. Sometimes it's easy to forget the headset is on your head so you can accidentally yank it out of the computer with dire results. I've unfortunately tripped and yanked it out, snapping the plastic casing around the USB connector and actually leaving the plug in into the computer at one point, which thankfully was easy to pull out.I recommend that the wire be tied around something so that if you do pull it out, it just tugs on the wire and not the actual plug in to make it last a bit longer. Overall, Excellent product, feels great, works great, and I love using it. Great jog Logitech! ~Spell

Here you can see the input the headset gives off, by default. That's a lot of electrical feedback.
The microphone can produce a clear tone, but only if touching the casing of the computer harddrive. Without it, there is a strong electrical hum that consistently buzzes, making it very impractical. This feedback is hardware based, as the first time I had it, I called in a warranty, and the replacement has the exact same feedback (even a little stronger maybe) straight out of the packaging. Unfortunately not worth the money, would recommend another product any day.

So, I like a lot of things about this headset but it crashes WebEx whenever I use it yet I see no way to update the software to hopefully fix this problem.

This set is average at best I would say. Everything about it is just average. The one thing that stands out is the comfort, it's very comfortable and fits around your head nice.

If you like listening to 60 cycle hum get these. If you want to listen to music, chat or record audio keep looking.
I got these to replace my Dollar Store special headset. Sad truth that 10 year old bargain bin head set out performs this one on all counts. Lighter, better sound quality, better recording quality and price.
The 60 cycle hum is so bad from the microphone that even washing the audio through a de-hum filter isn't sufficient.
Another trivial complaint it that the "brains" for this thing is in the USB plug which makes the plug about 3 inches long. That's a busted USB port waiting to happen.

The first time I had it, it would not stop crackling. After I returned it and got another one, it broke in less than a month, by that I mean the volume clicker on the wire malfunctioned and always made my volume to it's maximum.

Fantanstic build quality. The whole head set feels solid and sits fairly secure on the head. The ear pads feel a little small but overall do sit comfortably. The plastic leather type material feels a little cheap. Sound quality is average. Sounds a rich and the head set does fine for relaying compressed audio used in voice chat. Basic games sound clear and so does streaming audio. The microphone is on a static plastic stick and sits a little offset from the front of the mouth. I had no problems getting it to pickup my voice clearly. Sound quality was surprising good for this this microphone. The microphone stem sits securely in the up or down position which prevents surprise movement when moving your head. The control unit on the chord is a nice feature. Volume and microphone mute are easily accessible. A light indicates clearly when the microphone is muted. The headset is USB based which makes connection very convenient. The cable is fairly long and setup took only few seconds for me in Windows 7.
Overall this is a very solid headset. All areas seem to be thought through with few weaknesses. It might fall short for audiophiles or hardcore gamers.

I've had many cheap headphones priced from £20 to £60. Some of them broke after few months, some stopped working after half a year. Then I bought this headset. And still looks and works as good as new. Never had a single problem with them, most problems people have are because they can't configure their sound right(they should learn to use their control panel right). These headphones are always comfy. No matter how long I wear them they never make me feel tired of wearing them. I play a lot of games, sound quality is great and mic is good. Once my housemate asked me if he can borrow my headphones and when he returned them he said they are awesome. Downsides? Well the mic is just decent, but sufficient for most purposes. Unless you make music or dub videos it's just good enough. Other than that I can't recall any issues with these headphones. And they are just for £40? Now that's a great quality for a decent price!

For the money.....this is the best buy that I'veyet made for headphones. I use the headset for Skype calls and have enjoyed the clearsound quality. I have found the ear pads to be comfortable, even when worn for an extended time. I very much like the overall quality that I have experienced with this headset.

My friend owns this headset and as soon as she switched to using it a buzzing noise was audible and it was really obnoxious. I used it so she could see if she could hear what I was hearing and she could. The headset is uncomfortable as it squeezes too tightly and it looks hideous in general. The mute button works better than other headsets and is an interesting feature.

I was looking to voice-chat with friends of mine over games and such. I was looking for a cheap headset that would get me through at least a year of use. I bought one and it was fabulously easy to plug it in, set a few sound settings so my eardrums weren't going to die and I was chatting in no time. After about four or five months, my brothers broke just randomly. The microphone just died on him and soon I had to share. After that, mine died a month after his. The microphone wouldn't pick up my voice and yet it would pick up game sounds. Also, after about two to three hours the earphones start to hurt your ears and sometimes I'll get headaches. Overall, it's a nice headset to use if your not doing anything serious, but it has a fair chance of breaking.
