I used the old wireless trackball mouse with the 6 ft corded receiver with my laptop for years, the problem with that design was the corded receiver would always fall apart. After two years of a regular mouse (I couldn't stand to spend money on something that would fall apart in 3 months of use or less) I found this track ball, FINALY a small receiver for a wireless device. The trackball is the perfect "mouse" for a laptop, no more hunting for enough flat surface to operate a traditional mouse.

This review is based solely upon experience. I am on my third trackball I literally used them so much they just stopped working and that is after years of abuse. Right now I'm using the Bluetooth trackball and the only complaint is that the battery only lasts 5 months. Other than that its a pleasure to use.
Imagine not having to move your mouse around on a table or use those silly track pads and instead just use your thumb with accuracy. People think I'm nuts when they see me use one but once they get used to it there literally is no turning back.
Enjoy!

I have been using the TrackMan Wheel for many years. This has three extra buttons. OK, but what it needs is a WIRE. No batteries. Since you don't have to move it like a mouse, the wire is no hindrance. Batteries, however long they last, are a worry. Why fix something that isn't broken? I have noticed interference from stray signals in the past. I don't like wireless devices.
