Did not meet expectations

Date:February 10, 2014
I run a factory with an old security system. I bought this system with one camera to see if it would work as a replacement video system. I was specifically looking for mobile access to the camera images so that when I got an alarm call in the middle of the night I could pull up the video on my phone before driving to the office.
Right out of the box, the router adapter failed. It would not power up. I worked with customer support to return the router adapter, they confirmed it was DOA, and then shipped me a replacement. This took about 2 weeks.
Then I plugged in the replacement. it worked. Installed the software on my computer and my phone. I was able to see video on my phone and my computer for about 1 hour. It wasn't the highest quality and it was slightly delayed, but it was acceptable. This was encouraging so I was getting excited about mounting it and putting the camera to use. Before I mounted it, I had an employee install the software on their phone (same model iPhone that I have) so he could see it too. He could not see the video on his phone. I pulled up my phone and sure enough, I could not see it either.
I have been unable to regain video on the mobile devices since that time. I have tried everything. I also have seen a significant drop off in video quality on the computer interface. The screen display is blank most of the time and only shows video in small snippets. (This is on two different computers with two different operating systems.)
I set up a dedicated computer to log the video for archive retrieval. This has the same blank screen video issues. I checked the support website and followed their instructions to move the router adapter closer to the camera. (Keep in mind the two were only about 40 ft apart and the signal strength was almost 0.) I plugged the adapter into the same outlet that the camera was plugged into. I then had full signal strength but absolutely no improvement in video quality, access, etc.
I will not be buying additional cameras for this system, and will take this system down. I would return the system but I already threw the box away. The idea for this system is novel, but the implementation is horrible. I would recommend staying far far away from this system.

Camera failed within a year

Date:November 7, 2013
The initial indoor camera failed within a year of installation. And although it was replaced free of charge by LT that short life of the camera makes me suspect the quality of the product.
The daytime picture is excellent, the night vision not so good. Night time is like looking at a gray puff of smoke in a gray fog. There is way too little to discern by; I doubt anyone can ID a perp using the night vision.
Installing and monitoring the camera are big pluses. Using the house power line for connectivity is way better than putting in ugly wiring. And the Command monitoring software is intuitive and easy to use. I like especially the ability to electronically aim the camera focus and change the field size.
But the Command software installer that comes with the product never did install properly. I eventually had to hire a computer guru who bypassed the LT installer and installed the Command software that way. And the LT customer service people are unwilling or unable to accept the fact that their installation software is faulty. It continues to be faulty one year later. I've hired the guru once again to install the latest Command update; that's the only way it can be installed on my PC.

Been using 4 750 n & 2 700 cameras for two years. Wonderful product with access from my iPhone, ipad, office computer, etc.....I would highly recomend this equipment for anyone......easy to set up and good features. Now I want more cameras and hope I can set up a 2nd computer/system....this would make the product fantastic.

defect with night vision

Date:November 28, 2012
I have had a number of problems with this system.
1. Night vision: with even a small amount of clouds, the camera changes to night vision thus making the image black and white and blurry. There has to be full sun for the camera to stay in daytime mode.
2. Motion detection zones: They simply do not work. The camera picks up birds and insects outside of the zone and will miss a UPS truck driving in my driveway.
I have had these problems with the original camera and the replacement. Therefore I have come to the conclusion that it is a problem with the system and camera design.
If it did not take so long to run the wires I would definitely return the system.

Great home device that anyone can set up.

Date:November 25, 2012
Getting it in place with outside installation when the power is inside takes some creativity.
Being able to observe while away through your tablet or laptop is a great feature.
The only real knock I'd give it is that Logitech did not, and still does not have Windows 8 drivers up for download. It seems that Windows took care of this as I am now able to view my security system, but when you go to Logitech they still only support up to Windows 7.
I gave it a slight hit on performance, as it is a little latent, and the clarity is not as nice as the asking price should demand, but all in al the camera's rock.
By the way, I have one 750e, 750n, and one 700 add on. The 750n does not have the level of night vision I would like, but it works well in low light.

Very good and reliable

Date:October 22, 2012
I have had this system for about 2 years and have found it to be very good. I have had very little down time with it. It syncs with my Android Phone easily. Only wish that the the app would include sound capability for it as well. The night vision is very good. Had a problem with night vision and Logitech tech department cleared it up with a firmware upgrade. I would suggest this system to anyone. Very good customer support.

Worked as advertised and zero complaints.

Date:September 17, 2012
Needed a simple security camera for the home that allowed for motion detection, recording and remote viewing from anywhere in the world where I have access to the Internet. I did not want to run cables and I dismissed super expensive and super cheap systems. This system seemed to be the best compromise of features and cost, and simplicity of installation. It took 30 minutes to set up and has been running for a week with no major problems. Even my wife understands how to use it and move the camera around. I'll probably add an outdoor camera as well. The iPad app is rudimentary but works well enough and image is good enough.
